One of the Best
Dr. Cozzens is an excellent doctor. He has been a family member's doctor for many years. I've met him and spoken to him on many occasions. He wants his patient to do well. The patient feels comfortable with his treatment plan. He responds to any concerns or issues quickly and monitors the patient's progress. He is a terrific man.

Dr. Cozzens is a master at putting together and matching the correct symptoms with the best kind of medications to help your brain function more comfortably. I've been his patient for years now and the quality of my life improved within weeks of my first visit. I trust him with my life...literally.

Cozzens is extremely confident in himself however was not willing to prescribe a medication I had been on for 25 yrs. Not because it was harmful or dangerous but Cozzens doesn't "believe in it". You see, he feels he is "noble" because he won't prescribe Xanax (alprazolam). He then tried to get me to take several alternatives that absolutely do not work. He also was not familiar with the pharmacological actions of any of the medications he mentioned including Xanax!!. He is very out of date and needs continuing education in pharmacology and patient management of anxiety. Cozzens? I see a guy near retirement just coasting and cocky He is unmotivated with a total lack of humility. His main secretary seems absolutely clueless. She called me three different times for information to set up my appointment. I would recommend choosing a younger, more personable doctor and practice.

I met with the guy and followed up with him 2 weeks later. He had his notes in front of him and literally thought it was our first appointment. He spent both sessions talking down to me constantly repeating my age as if I am not aware. At no point did he show any actual interest in what I had to say.

Dr. Cozzens has been my doctor for many, many years. He has seen me through my depression, my children's depressions, my ex-husband's bipolar disorder, the death of my mother, my divorce, etc. He is professional, brilliant, kind, funny and compassionate. He does not over-prescribe medication. I'd give him a hundred stars if I could. He also happens to be extremely charming and handsome, which makes the appointment more pleasant!

While seeing Dr Cozzens I felt like personally he was charismatic and easy to get along with while he kept trying to push a medication I did not respond to. No means no. I saw a number of drug company representives during the time I went to his office and being yelled at was the last straw. I've seen worse doctors but struggled with too much visiting him. His office manager was an especially vile person.

Our entire family (2 adults & 4 sons) have been under Dr. Cozzen's knowledgeable care since about 2003. He was our God-send! We each have co-morbid conditions that were a challenge to treat, especially when our boys were younger and pinged off one another. Dr. Cozzen's ability to listen intently and identify factors that contribute to the big picture so he can develop a treatment plan for each of us is amazing! He helped us come to grips with the need for individual and group accountability.

There is not much interest shown with patient, he will write out any prescription that you ask him for, more like the bandage effect, Don't think he is current with research, not impressed.
