Best Surgeon for Knee Replacement
Dr Ward and his team are wonderful making the pre and post operative experience easy. Was referred to Dr Ward from multiple doctors and am so grateful that I chose him for my TKR.

Total knee replacement with Dr Ward and team.
All went well and I felt very well taken care of. I was up the same day and there was always someone with me to ease my thoughts about the procedure and a new knee. The care was what I needed and has continued everyday since through the Getwell Loop.

This is my second meeting with a surgeon about my knee. Dr. Ward took time to show me the images of my knee both in x-rays and in the MRI. He pointed out problems that had not been previously shown to me indicating the need for surgery. He fully explained the procedure and recovery along with the risks. I feel confident in his skill and plan to proceed with the operation.

Surprisingly brilliant.
I expected my revision to result in greater pain and anxiety than either of my two knee replacements. The result was the opposite.. lower pain, speedier recovery. Greater information, before and after surgery, and wonderful follow up from the UCSF team.

Dr Ward is a kind, caring physician who excels.
Dr Ward and his team clearly explain procedures, listen to patients concerns, and are by your side through the surgery and recovery. They follow through and support your success. Pre and post surgery is a well constructed process that leads you through the steps to recovery, strengthening and a healthy, active new walking life. I can't imagine a better practice, from Sonya & Mario in the office to Jay in the hospital, backing up and supporting Dr Ward's gentle, skilled surgery.

While Dr Ward has tons of experience and my surgery was perfect, I had questions post surgery. I so appreciated his support team that answers my questions 24 hours and 7 days a week. For me, this is what sets Dr Ward above his peers!

I’ll quote J.D.Salinger, “You're a real prince. You're a gentleman and a scholar, kid.” JD Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye. Reading Dr. Ward’s reviews they often refer to him as Kind. Kind, yes but also accomplished, talented and caring. I’m grateful he was my surgeon and I will continue to advise family and friends to use Dr. Ward for knee or hip replacement surgery.
