Dr. Desmond Fonji, DO

My dad was scheduled for surgery and Fonji’s office was non responsive side with his surgeon’s office. As a family member I had to intervene multiple times. Spoke with staff member today. She was so rude, blamed the delay on the surgeon’s office and talked over me at every turn. I told her that it was very disappointing and all she cared about was saying it wasn’t their fault. Now my dad may not be able to get his surgery because of the delay. Then she hung up on me. Dr. Fonji you need to get rid of this rude woman or you will lose more than just our business.

Office staff coded my annual prevention exam wrong - for the second time! I'm $250 short due to these mistakes! Dr. Fonji did some exams for my annual preventive visit but didn't do any of these exams when a friend of mine went there a few weeks after for his annual preventive visit - and he is older and has more health issues than I do... I won't go back to him

Dr. Fonji does not rush, listens patiently, and is very quick and efficient to handle all of my issues. Office staff are excellent except for one VERY rude assistant brought up for the day from Vero(Kathryn?). She actually shouted at me and when I started crying shouted at me AGAIN to calm down! At which point I left the office (which she shouted again NO I could not!) and another staff member took care of me before seeing Dr. Fonji. Hopefully she will NOT return. But I will. He’s worth it.

Promised to adjust an increase in my anxiety medication , if I came in the office,which I did. I was in EXTREME withdrawl, I told his nurse EXACTLY the above , and she curtly told me to go see a Psychiatrist,and asked me to leave. Dr. Fonji was standing right behind her and said NOTHING. His inaction, caused me to have to pay $10,000 of my OWN money to go to a detox center, so I wouldn’t die.if you want an HONEST DOCTOR who CARES, and nurses who aren’t BULLYS , seek any other Dr. Except Dr. Fonji…

The staff at this office has gone way downhill. They are very rude and not a shred of please, thank you or any manners. Doctor F is fine, but he needs to refresh his staff. They used to be pretty good there.

A good doctor that doesn’t waste your time with tons of appointments but gets you what you need the first time and listens if you have any concerns. Excellent!

Dr. Fonji is my primary care physician. I recently received my regularly scheduled wellness checkup. Dr. Fonji reviewed all of my test results with me explaining anything that was of interest, then reviewed all of my current prescriptions. Then answered all my questions and concerns.

Dr. Fonji, excellent for listening, orders, and confidence. Trust and gentle bedside manner. His front office staff, Miss Tamara, is also a vital, important part of this office, smiling and always positive. The med assistant could use a class on what is appropriate to say, discretion is crucial, especially if training a new person, or embarrassing the patient. Also, Miss or Mrs. Mr. by name, not Dear or Hon or sweetie. Chart info is critical. Discretion is very, very, important. Think before you speak.

Dr. Fongi is a very competent physician, who takes time to thoroughly evaluate me at each office visit. He has my best interests when discussing my plan of care. I highly recommend him as a primary care physician.

This guy is sharp as a whip. Catches my ailments before my specialized Dr’s do. Also can get the guy when needed.

Excellent "bedside manner." Recommendations in regards to medicines, specialists and life style seem to have remedial affects on my condition. I rate Dr. Fonji a 4 star physician.

Not good. ZERO HELP AFTER THE VISIT. YOUR OWN YOUR OWN. I got better support at the Wendy’s drive through. Think twice before booking an appointment.

Unfortunately this is one of the worst doctors my husband and myself has ever had. Husband had to get blood work done 3 times do to incorrect orders by the Dr., also 3 urinalysis when any other doctor should have needed one. He also called out my husbands integrity on filling out federal paperwork which was the most insulting words he could speak, as my husband is a federal agent and would not benefit by changing the doctors form. As for myself, I had to do all of the work on my physical needs and medication. I actually had to look information on my phone while in his office to tell him what would work for my arthritis. We are looking for new practice. Zero stars...but I have to put one to complete review.
