I have been a patient of this moffice for over 1 year - in this span I have encountered Dr. Wadwekar one single time for a total of 90seconds. I visit the office every 6 weeks for thyroid issues and recently diagnosed with Hashimotos (which was compeltely missed by the NP and the DR and diagnosed by another provider). When I informed the NP of this, she seemed nonchelaunt and didnt take it into consideration of the issues I have encounted with my health over the span of 2 years - mind you it took 6 months to get an initial appointment with this office as a new patient. With every appointment, we go over the same song and dance and nothing changes - a recent lab study revealed high glucose and A1C and the response was "we will just continue to monitor"; but no action taken -just like with my enlarged thyroid. I am beginning to look for a new practice.

I had an appointment for 9/18/2024 at 9:45 am. Took us 1/2 hour to get there from Sun Lakes and the receptionist said I had no appointment that day.The receptionist gave me an appointment card but did not write it in the book, so when I got there it looked like I did not have an appointment for that day. She gave me another appointment for Oct. and Nov. I was suppose to have an Ultra Sound on the 18th. This has happened before, if there is a change in my appointment I feel they should notify me ahead of time instead of driving all the way up there. When we got home I found the card with the appt: day of 9/18/ at 9:45 am . I think I will be looking for someone closer to my home. The fault lies with the receptionist not putting my appointment in the log book.

BEWARE
NO STARS Don't know how Dr Wadweker treats his diabetic patient but he does Not know enough about Hashimotos and hypothyroid to treat it correctly. 21 yrs of endro's and he and his office is the worst. His nurse takes it upon herself to change med brand AND lowers the dose without telling the Dr which can really cause medical problems for a patient The front office check is a very bland and impersonal way to treat their patients with making you show ID and insurance card every single time no matter how much they see you. Good luck getting through on the phone, they say texting is quicker but that takes days to get an answer backMy final straw, the scheduling Mgr got on the phone because I was trying to explain the importance of needing labs after surgery according to my surgeon and coldly said they couldn't get me in for 3 months clearly no concern for a patient, this after the Dr convinced me to have the surgeryStay away if you value your peace of mind and correct treatments

Where is Dr. Wadwekar?
I saw the actual doctor one time in 7 years. The first time only. He was in and out in a flash. Since then it’s only assistants. Office in Gilbert is old and run down, stained ceiling from leaky roof, dirty restroom, old furniture. Seems to be far below the standard of care. Looking for a dr. Who cares now.

Please don't go to this doctor especially if you have Cushing's. They try to get rid of you asap. Dr appointments always less than 5 minutes. I know have to wait 4 months to see a different dr.

Horrible
Worst experience I have ever had with any dr in my life. Runs super late, then when you see him the appointment is minutes long. Dismissed concerns. He put my on Meds that made me vomit every single time I took them. Called his office and they said he told them that was not from the meds and Not for concern. There was many other issues so I switched to a new Dr and told her what was happening with the meds and she told me not only was it common it was common in people who were prescribed too high of a dose. She got me on the correct medicine and a correct dosage and I was fine. Horrible horrible experience.

Dr. Wadwekar is the best, I have been with other providers that specialize in endocrinology and by far I am pleased with his care and attention to my health not only does he look at the labs but also ask how you "feel" ....... no matter what the labs say , it matters how the patient is feeling and he emphasizes on that. His bed side manner if outstanding. I do not like to see the NP'S in the office . I would recommend only seeing him.

I went for 2 visits now and soon to have 3rd. The Dr. was friendly and even had a bit of humor. He was easy to talk with and feel he was very thorough. I am pleased to have found him and have recommended my own daughter to him.

I'm a new patient with this Dr but I've been searching for an endocrinologist for months and am so happy to have found Dr Wadwekar. He is caring, efficient and thorough in his approach. His office is clean and welcoming and his front desk and back office staff are of the highest quality. He is easy to schedule with and ran right on time on the day I was there. I would highly recommend him to family and friends and, in fact, I already have

Tried to reschedule appointment day ahead. Called office number and it rang multiple times. When picked up instructed you to go to myazdr.com to reschedule. That address states not found. Found Dr. W. in another group of endocrinologists so tried to reschedule there but they do not reschedule his appointments. Called office number again and even though it states it responds to portal messages first I left a voice mail stating date and time which is more than 24 hours.

I'm am established patient and haven't seen this doctor for months now, I'm a cancer survivor. I don't know if this place has a new scheduler, it was easy before but now it is like being punished, if you reschedule, more waiting time is coming your way, the doctor has five-minutes appointments visits and I never wait when I go. if there are new policies about rescheduling somebody should send an official note..

I would never recommend this Dr to anyone. Save your self the trouble! For starters they don't answer the phone and the online portal doesn't work. Second, he spends no time with you during your appointment. Could not even provide accurate information on the medicine he prescribed me. Scary! -sarah V

The appointment although the front desk lacked any serious communication skills. He billed me 319.00 for a 20 minute office visit. His bill said it was a level 4 office visit, with 5 taking the most time. Combining this with the other reviews here, I would definitely stay away.

Their front office staff are very rude and always have an attitude when I question something. They need to learn customer service. The doc is very stiff. Not welcoming at all. I guess medical school doesn't look at personalities.
