Didn't Listen, no respect, Ignored previous record
I came to Dr. Evans after two years of a drug study. The records stated the drug, dosage (the second lowest dose), and amount in between dosages (once every month) that had worked for me for two years. I asked to stay on the same drug I'd been on since it was already established and there were no adverse reactions. Without discussing things with me, he changed the drug I was on and upped the dose to one of the highest possible (Which was 16 times higher than I needed which increases the risk of stroke and cardiovascular events and I only found out after switched drs). He did this twice without my knowledge and two weeks apart, which he wanted to keep doing until we "figured out what worked for me". I felt unwell after the first dose of the new drug and after several times of correcting and asking he relented and prescribed the one I asked for and been on for two years prior. He did not listen to me or respect my safety or wishes when it came to my care and I do NOT recommend.

The stars aligned for me the day that I was told Dr. Evans would be my oncologist! Upon meeting Dr. Evans, he immediately put my mind at ease with his compassionate bedside manner, overall knowledge about my disease & treatment plan, the details he provided as to how he would guide me through my journey, etc. Words fail to describe the INCREDIBLE care that I received from Dr. Evans & his staff – primarily his amazing nurse practitioner, Sarah Boucher. Dr. Evans & Sarah always took whatever time was necessary to provide the most thorough, empathetic care that I could hope to have. They patiently & thoroughly answered every single question that I had throughout my journey. Their calming presence & incredible knowledge about every aspect of my health have carried me through to becoming a survivor. I feel SO FORTUNATE to have Dr. Evans as my oncologist. Both his & Sarah’s excellent care & positive energy were absolutely critical in powering me through to becoming a survivor!

Extremely compassionate and friendly. He never seems to be in a hurry when visiting with you. I started my cancer treatment at a big name cancer center and was unhappy with the cold attitude of everyone there and the inability to talk with the doctor except during scheduled appointments, which were hard to get. I left there and came to Dr Evans and what a world of difference!
