Dr. Dhanunjaya Dj Lakkireddy, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Lakkireddy for a little over two years. I have been treated with professionalism and informed of medical options and cardiac procedures. After three procedures including insertion of a CRT-D, I feel great, have all but eliminated Afib and reduced PVC's to less than 1% of the time. Very thankful and appreciative.

After several months of testing and procedures, Dr. Lakkireddy got to the bottom of and fixed my heart issue to the extent possible. He (and/or his team) explained everything well and answered all my questions. An excellent physician and surgeon.

Before my visit with Dr. Lakkireddy, I went to a heart doctor in Wichita. I messed around with them for two years, while experiencing severe Atrial Fibrillation. I underwent an ablation and literally had no improvement. On my first visit to Dr. Lakkireddy, he looked over my records, symptoms, etc. and after some discussion he looked at me and said I will fix you. To make a long story shorter, he did. He completed an ablation as well, spent far more time in surgery room completing the procedure than earlier doctor but he fixed my heart. I had an enlarged chamber which has now become more normal and only had one heart beat irregularity in a year and a half and that was during an MRI for another problem, when I got concerned about a heart monitor problem. Dr. Lakkireddy is now my primary heart doctor and I have complete faith in him and have recommended him to many friends. I feel like I may have not been around now if I wouldn't have started seeing him.

Fortunately Dr. Lakkireddy was recommended and he was willing to take my case right away. I had been in intensive care as my heart irregularity couldn't be controlled thru medication or cardioversion. He performed the ablation December 23, 2019. Prior to the procedure everything was explained thoroughly regarding procedure, risk, etc. I had complete confidence and have been rewarded with excellent care, also by his staff and the hospital. I would highly recommend Dr. Lakkireddy, not only for his medical expertise, but for the all around care I am receiving.

My first office visit included Dr. Lakkireddy drawing on a white board to present to me exactly what was happening with my heart. He shared with me and my wife knowledge about my condition so that we could intelligently make decisions. We also received wonderful care at Overland Park Regional Medical Center for my pre tests as well as my heart procedure. My wife and I are retired nurses and do not live in this community. We were apprehensive about coming to an unknown hospital with unfamiliar physicians and nurses. Both I and my wife were kept informed of each step during my procedure. Before, during and after my heart procedure I have had my questions answered in person or by phone as well as through my health portal. I like being able to see all of my health data and test results on my health portal and can then be able to share that information with my other physicians by using my phone. I would highly recommend this office as well as the hospital for great cardiac care.

Dr. Lakkireddy created a progressive treatment path that is making a positive impact on my life. Dr. Lakkireddy and his staff are great at listening to me and using the information to my benefit. I'm very pleased with the care, concern and continuing follow up received in Dr. Lakkireddy's office.

I was referred to Dr. Lakkireddy to explore the reasons for my long term persistent atrial fibrillation and to determine the proper treatment. Prescribed medications from other doctors over a long period of time had not effectively controlled my afib. After testing and screening it was determined that a heart ablation was warranted in my situation. Dr. Lakkireddy performed the procedure and the results have been amazing. My heart is now in rhythm and I'm no longer taking heart rhythm medication and blood thinners. This has been a life changing event for me after experiencing afib for at least 18 years.
