She took time to explain medications. She also was extremely clear and explained choices I had.

I feel comfortable coming to see Dr.Fatyga and staff, everyone is kind and efficient. Dr. Fatyga listens, is gentle, and knowledgeable. I will always recommend her.

She takes her time to listen to your issues and explain in clear language what options are available and how she will go by. She is sympathetic and shows empathy for your concerns. A great physician.

Dr Fatyga has been patient and understanding with me. She offers a few options and tells me what is going on. Her staff are regularly short with me - they expect us to know how the office works even though they are ones working full time in this field making a very comfortable living. More than once, I've emailed a question through the clunky online system with no time pressure to respond, and they respond irritated at me (for not knowing what length of appointment I need?) and they don't take into account the info I provided in the email. We don't all know how their office works, so if they can't be bothered to explain it, they could at least save their irritation for us for office gossip and hold their tongue when emailing us.

I rarely do these sorts of reviews, but I just had my first visit with Dr. Fatyga today and found her altogether excellent: thorough, well-informed, and genuinely empathetic. She asked lots of questions, dug into my health history and brought up concerns and issues that I hadn't mentioned or thought about. She was not hurried like so many doctors these days. I feel compelled to leave this review after reading the one star posted here, which gave me some doubts. Those doubts were completely unfounded. I can only conclude that the previous reviewer is a hypochondriac or one of those patients who insist on every test or procedure under the sun. If you are NOT a hypochondriac, I highly recommend Dr. Fatyga. If you ARE a hypochondriac, I recommend a psychiatrist.

I am a nurse who works with local Evanston underserved populations. I took a patient to Dr. Fatyga that I have worked with for the past 2 years who was very reluctant to see doctors and was impressed with the compassionate, thorough, and patient manner in which she explained issues directly relevant to the patient and his concerns. After the visit we learned that one of his medications was not covered by his insurance and she very quickly called back personally with an alternate medication.

One of the worst doctors I have ever seen. Does not take any consideration of the patient as a whole and reluctant to actually treat anything. If she does agree to treat, she will do the bare minimum textbook option. Shows no concern for your well-being and behaves as though you are a lesser human being. I have no experience with any other doctors in the practice, but the rest of staff working there are very kind and helpful. I would avoid Dr. Fatyga if you can help it.
