Dr. Diana Stancov, MD

I landed in Dr Stankov's office by order of Danbury Hospital. I did not know what to expect, and was kind of taken aback by her very up front and direct manner. However, she was just what I needed to get me through a horrific ordeal and start to move on. 5 years later, I still hear her voice, when I start to slide backwards, urging me to move forward and not go back. I will forever be grateful for her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who will be direct and not pussyfoot around. If you need hand holding, she is not the one for you. I did not, and this is why I say she was just what I needed.

Dr Stancov Really listens to my concerns. She has a good sense of humor. I feel so relaxed. The staff have always been polite and professional.

honestly, I am a twelve year patient, yet, Hippocratic oath compliance as in too open with confidential info or the outsourcing for other treatment was somewhat a nervous reaction by her. I want to make my own decisions, yet, I cannot talk with her too deeply out of trust... otherwise, serves the doctor role just fine. I feel a little ashamed of my help.

Love her! She’s straight forward and doesn’t coddle. Conversation with her is two-way and relaxed. She never makes you feel like you are under a microscope.

There was no patient/doctor confidentiality. The staff up front is constantly changing, but is always incompetent. Dr. Stancov runs hot and cold, and can sometimes be quite the bully. She actually told me not to have any more children, for fear of passing down my problems.

My doctor is great! Staff seems incompetent - at least when it comes to handling prescriptions. With nearly every prescription renewal, or even refill, I need to intervene several times to get the order straight with the insurance and then to the pharmacy. Some blame goes to the pharmacy and insurance, but my provider should be managing this. Yes, my prescriptions are "controlled" substances, but isn't that the whole idea of a prescription - if I have one, the script should be filled!!

Dr. Stancov has always allowed me to take control of my treatment while presenting all of my options. I always feel comfortable being myself with her, and I value her treating me like a human being.

Dr Stancov is an excellent doctor. I have been under her care on 2 separate occasions in my life, and each time she has guided me back to my old self. She is pretty direct, knows her stuff, has a refreshing sense of humor, and has always made me feel like I’m talking to a knowledgeable friend rather than the antiseptic relationship that sometimes occurs in the doctor/patient relationship. She’s even given excellent and appreciated advise on issues non related to my illness. I highly recommended!

Horrible human being. There is no doctor/patient confidentiality, and this office will give out personal information. Damaging information against you.

Outstanding doctor, highly recommend. Office staff can be difficult sometimes, but it's worth putting up with them because she's such a good doctor!

Dr. Stancov is a great medical resource for me. She is a straight-shooter who knows her patients and gets down to business. She is very easy to talk to and understands me very well. She talks to me, not at me, and does provide advise or answers when necessary. I would highly recommend.
