Dr. Dino Ferrante, MD

Called several times today to the office of Dr. Dino Ferrette, gastrologist in Huntsville Al. We were requesting information about the doctor before making the trip to come in. Spoke to a lady at the front desk who did not give their first name. Called back several times after being disconnected. Someone kept picking up and then hanging back up on us. Our area code is 212 and apparently that made them nervous. Sounds like an office that discriminates against those who are not deep State southerners. Shame on their way of treating potential patients who care enough about their health to ask legitimate questions instead of going along with and listening to front desk office girls who misguide you with misleading answers. It's always the incompetent unschooled office girls who reply with snappy remarks when public calls to gather information about the practice so as to make a favorable decision vs. making an off the cuff appointment only to learn that you made a mistake later. CYA!

Who thought a colonoscopy could be a pleasant experience? Dr. Ferrante and his team are fantastic. He is very personable and caring. Procedure was a breeze. I’ve had this done by others that turned into a nightmare. Thank you Dr. Ferrante!

Dr. Ferrante is the best around. I wish all my Doctors could be as caring and down to earth as he is. He is very smart and well trusted.

He was very polite and listened to my problems. He seemed to care and wants to help me.

Not fun to have a colonoscopy BUT, Dr. Ferranti and his staff were very professional and made my experience comfortable. Just know that you will be well taken care of SO, go ahead and bite the bullet! I have a family history of colon cancer and I would not go anywhere else for testing. Dr. Ferranti personally called me to discuss my test results. ?? I was pleasantly surprised! Not many doctors do that these days!

Dr Ferrante has treated me for 15 years for Digestive Issues He is an awesome Dr with a vast knowledge of Intestinal Diseases He has made my Life so much better He has never been wrong in a diagnosis for me. I appreciate him being Direct and Factual I wouldn’t have as good a quality of life without his care of me I Thank God for his Dedication to his work and patients

even though his ratings are excellent. I feel at a loss when he will not accept any patients that have seen any other doctors in this clinic. I have suffered for years and need an high rated doctor. This is so sad.

Don’t expect to be treated with courtesy. I had a 2:30 appointment with the nurse practitioner and finally left at 3:30 having not yet been seen. I’ll find another provider.

Dr. Ferrante’s bedside manner is superior, while meeting with him he will put you at ease, listen to you and clearly explain your issues and treatment options. He is very caring and demonstrates the love he has for his profession as a healer.

Excellent Doctor, honest, straightforward, caring, diligent and very thorough. Excellent communicator who also takes the time necessary to satisfy patient and family concerns. I was so impressed that I referred my husband to him.

My mother has been seeing Dr. Ferrante for over two years. He has sat by and spun in circles as she couldn't eat, lost over 60 pounds, and wasted away. Instead of referring her to someone who could actually help her, he kept disbelieving her and retrying procedures and just letting her wither. When we told him we were getting a second opinion (he didn't even have a first), he FINALLY referred her to a doctor at Vanderbilt. When he discovered we still wanted a second opinion, he canceled the appointment out of spite. My mother went from an active and vital woman to someone who can't eat and has no energy. And he let it happen. This has been happening for YEARS. On his watch. Any decent doctor would, if they knew they were not capable of diagnosing the issue, have referred her to someone a year ago. Despicable behavior from a doctor. And if something happens to my mother because of his gross incompetence, this won't be the last he hears from me and my family. Pathetic.

Dr. Ferrante is the best! Obviously this isn’t a visit you look forward too. Prep is nasty and the idea of the procedure is embarrassing. But as soon as Dr. Ferrante enters the room he puts you at ease with his friendly, upbeat, down to earth personality. I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else.

Some of my kin use him,soI decided to give him a go. He recently gave me my first endoscopy and my 4th. unsedated colonoscopy. He give a great colonoscopy and explains when he's going to biopsy an area (don't worry,biopsies don't hurt) before he does them. I was very impressed with my experience and we chatted virtually non stop. Afterwards,he explained what he did to me and my family. His bedside manner is fantastic and he's so easy to talk with. He even calls patients at home as needed. Anyway,I highly recommend him for all your gi needs.

I started seeing Dr. Ferrante about 5 years ago. I was referred to him by my family Doctor. I was impressed by how he took charge of my case as if I was his only patient. His staff has that same attitude. I could not be more pleased. Steve Lansford Athens Alabama.

Even though I am in a high-risk group for colon cancer, I avoided my first colonoscopy for 8 years due to fear. Yeah. Dumb. Turns out that Dr. Ferrante & his staff made it easy & completely stress-free. He, Andrea, Casey, & Paul Harvey (Anesthesiologist) were an amazing team of professionals. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’m not even worried about my next one in 5 years. VERY highly recommended.

I have been treating with Dr. Ferrante for approximately 7 years. He is amazing. He was supportive when my husband passed, and he is always there no matter what. He has called me at home to check on me, and it's hard to even believe he's a doctor with the way most doctors treat you. His staff is amazing too. Heather worked for two months to get my medication pre-approved. That is perseverance! I just can't speak highly enough of Dr. Ferrante and his staff.
