Best Rheumatologist period.
I’ll recommend Dr Modjinou every time. I have been seeing Dr Modjinou for almost 6 years, and he always remembers everything about my diagnosis. Dr. Modjinou literally gave me my life back. At my first appointment, I was scared, depressed, and about to give up. Dr Modjinou took the time to listen, and really care about helping me. I went from just staying home everyday depressed, to finally feeling so good I started traveling again, going out, and finally enjoying my life. I can’t begin to say enough about Dr Modjinou, he’s extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, listens to you, as well as gives clear instructions to on your care.

After a frustrating experience of trying to find a physician experienced in the treatment of osteoporosis, my primary care doctor referred me toDr.dodgi Modjinou.I was given an appointment quickly. The kind staff scheduled the required testing I needed prior to treatment. I received my first treatment today with kindness and knowledge from every staff member.I was a level 10 pain due to a newly fractured vertebrae from osteoporosis. They treated me with care and kindness. I left their office with the anticipation of feeling better soon, and receiving the best care available.

I have been seeing Dr. Modjinou for about 2 years. I have both osteo and rheumatoid arthritis. I mention this doctor to all my friends and family. First of all, he is a warm and caring person. He practices constructive listening. He is knowledgeable and intelligent. He has eliminated most of my pain. He always asks about my medication and is flexible about adjusting dosage as appropriate. He gives me a thorough examination and actually heard a problem with my lungs which none of my other doctors caught. Thanks to this gifted doctor who has vastly improved my quality of life.

I wanted to share an additional experience that highlights one of the more subtle aspects of being a great doctor. My wife started her injectable Methaltrexate (MTX) treatments and quickly developed uveitis. She never had uveitis before and it seemed to get worse after taking a shot. The two things seemed related. The science says MTX treats uveitis and does not cause it. It would have been very easy for Dr. Modjinou to say the two things were unrelated and just keep taking the MTX. What happens then? It is hard to keep taking a medication you feel is aggravating an illness you never had until you started taking it. Maybe we lose faith in the entire process, stop everything, and just slide back into a life of ever worsening health outcomes (now including uveitis). Dr. Modjinou did not do that though. He said “we never say never in medicine” and switched drugs. Then he recommended we see Ophthalmologists he knew. Things are getting much better and we are very grateful.

Initial appointments seemed to go well, but the doctor very quickly showed a complete lack of interest in actually listening to me, explaining his decisions for treatment, or just plain treating me at all. He then flagged my account so that I wasn't allowed to see anyone else in the office, even for urgent problems when his first availible appointment wasn't for two months.
