No.. keep away, especially if you’re diabetic!
He has no compassion, and all he cares about is his ego. He wants to be known for having a perfect record of saving feet, but if he can’t save yours, then he doesn’t care. He’ll leave you in the dirt. He also thinks he’s smarter than an MRI machine. Personally.. he holds grudges big time. He’s got the personality of a fish. Never laughs, never smiles, always grumpy, and always bad news. He’s also violent, and has thrown stuff at nurses and techs in hospitals, as well as insulted them. He claims that he’s the number one Charcot correctional surgeon in Pasco county, but from the evidence I’ve found, he hasn't even done any osteotomy and fusions to realign the foot. Instead, all he does is surgical debridement and the only reason he puts you to sleep is because he doesn’t want you to know what he’s doing. He won’t give you any details after the surgery either. Plus.. if you have Charcot deformity, and want it. corrected, he’ll try to intimidate you and say you’ll die during surgery!

Best Podiatrist
My Dad Virgil Bliss was in the Hospital November 9 thru November 22nd. He had been battling a foot ulcer since May 2022 with a different Podiatrist. To no avail his foot was not getting any better. So when Dr.Calise cam to the Hospital to see my dad he was very thorough with his findings. he had X-rays taken of the Right Foot for himself because he said he trusts his own findings not anyone else’s. My Dad had Foot Surgery on Nov 15. My Dad was in a Rehab Center from November until January 22nd. He did have to have another Surgery on his Foot and it went well and is continuing to get Better. Dr. Calise is very please with the Healing Process and he does not push the Patient to start walking or putting weight on his foot. Until he says it is ready. Dr. Calise. Is my Dad’s Guardian Angel. He had said he wished he had seen My Dad back in May. So if you need a Great Podiatrist please call Total Foot and Ankle in Zephyrhills you will be glad that you did.Thank you to Dr. Calise.

Highly recommend this great doctor.
Two other doctors said amuputation. He saved my leg and I am once again walking using two legs. A whole lot of surgery but the infection in the right leg is gone and has never returned. I have complete movement with no issues. Without him, I wouldn't be where I am today. Thank you doctor Calisi and his incredible staff.

Successful bunionectomy
In 2018 I had a bunionectomy and hammer toe surgery that were not done properly and let me in pain and difficulty to walk for years. I consulted with 3 different specialists who did not want to do the surgery or had their doubts. I moved to Zephyrhills one year ago and my PDP referred me to Dr Domenick Calise. In my first visit he told me: "I can do it" He explained to me what he will do to correct the previous surgery. The surgery was successfully performed by Dr Calise on 07/08/22. After 2 months I started to walk again. My toes are aligned, and I feel more confident when walking. Thanks God and Dr Calise for his confidence, professionalism and excellent job.

Words cannot express my great appreciation for the time and effort that Dr. Calise afforded to my eighty nine year old mother. My mom, a diabetic, almost lost her toe if not for the heroic efforts of Dr. Calise. He was very patient and spent additional time in order to prevent her from losing her toe. Next time, if he is a few minutes late for your appointment, please forgive him because he is assisting a patient, like my mom, that needs additional time due to their medical condition.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!! He would get zero stars if that was an option. He operated on my wife's ankle and TOTALLY BOTCHED THE JOB!!! 9 months later and she's so bad off she has to have her ankle operated on again by a different doctor to fix Calise's mess, and fix the original problem which she's been told "wasn't addressed"! She's actually WORSE OFF now than before he operated on her! When she came in to have her stitches removed 2 weeks after her surgery he started YELLING at my wife because he believed she wasn't correctly following his post-op directions - which she was! YELLING and SCOLDING!!! Are you kidding me? Who does that??? I had to tell him to shut his mouth or I would shut it for him! He's a TERRIBLE surgeon, and an even worse human being!!! What doctor YELLS AT & SCOLDS their patients? I'm 59 and my wife is 56 and neither of us has EVER been yelled at or scolded by a doctor before - even as children! This guy is a joke, a very, very, very BAD joke! STAY AWAY!!!

I found him to be sad to say the least. My wife and I just happened to to be in his office when a new patient arrived at his office waiting room. He began to explain to us that this new patient had transferred to him because his previous surgeon had operated on him three times and had provided little to no corrective resulting care. This was the the time that he told us that he had never had to do three surgeries on any of his past patients. I did not allow me to be his 1st # 3 !!

I have been seeing Dr. Calise for over a year now. He was called in to perform emergency surgery on my foot when I was in the ER. I find him to be an excellent surgeon and a wonderful person. He is a very knowledgeable surgeon and I owe him a lot for everything he has done for me. I highly recommend him and his staff at Total Foot and Ankle.

It is inevitable in life that every human on this planet will come into contact with someone who will change their life. Dr. Calise has positively achieved that status by successfully diagnosing and subsequently repairing the ligaments in my ankle. The surgery and recovery were absolutely painless and no swelling. Dr. Calise's nurse, Bonnie, was instrumental in my FMLA and Short Term Disability being approved and implemented. I am thoroughly satisfied with Total Foot & Ankle and will return.

I have never met a doctor as disrespectful & rude as Calise. My husband was admitted to have a toe removed. After 4 days, his 1st surgery was cancelled. We were an 1 1/2 hour away from home and my husband wanted to leave. Dr. Calise came In yelling if my husband left to find a new doctor. After he left the nurses convinced us to stay. The next day his surgery was cancelled again. Dr. Calise again came in yelling & standing so close to him we both felt threatened. We are now finding a new Dr.
