Dr. Donal Ryan, MD

This is my third medically induced surgery and each time I was frightened beyond belief. As I get older, it gets more frightening. I expressed my concerns to Dr. Ryan when he called me the day before my surgery. I was honest with how scared I was and he said he’d take care of it. I also asked him to be sure I wake up! Surgery day, he came in to say hello and introduce himself in person. Still nervous, I asked him more questions, most likely the same ones I asked the day before (nerves). He was kind and answered all of my questions. Well, here I am. I survived to tell the story (thank God). He must have slipped the syringe in my IV without me noticing it realizing because before I knew it, I was out cold and woke up in recovery. Very blessed to have had in as my anesthesiologist.

Dr. Ryan was very compassionate. He explained exactly what he was going to do and put me totally at ease after an extremely harrowing experience in the ER. I was so fortunate to have Dr. Al-Shaikh do the surgery on my severely fractured ankle and was so relieved to have Dr. Ryan by my side.
