Dr. Donald Davenport Jr, DO

About two years ago Dr. Davenport punctured my sister lung while he was putting in a port so that she could do her chemo. He was arogenate and did not admit what he did until the anethstasist called him out on it. He should have told the truth. I would not have even given him a one star.

From the first day we met Dr. Davenport, he was very friendly and professional. My husband was very ill, flown in from another town. He provided us with the information we needed and answered all of our questions. Never was in a hurry to leave the room. We also met some of the other MD staff, that was with him, and we were impressed. Dr. Davenport will be a man, a surgeon, we recommend highly for his service.

This is one of the best surgeons in west Texas. He is highly recommended by all of the nurses I talked to and he is efficient. He did a hernia repair for me and I'm very satisfied with his work. I would recommend Dr. Davenport to anyone that asks.

My very healthy, physically active husband of 32 years, father of two, special needs teacher, elder in his church lost 62 lbs after a routine hernia surgery he performed on him. Davenport refused to give him any after care after months of complaints, then my husband lost his job and was bed redden for 8 months, then he put a 45 to his head and

This man is indirectly culpable for my father’s suicide. This man is directly responsible for the botched surgery which left my 53 year old father bed-ridden, jobless, in debt, and the victim of massive depression for 8 months until he could no longer bear it, resigned himself to hopelessness, and took his own life. This man, if he can even be called such, will stand before God at the end of this life and give an accounting for his refusal to adequately perform routine treatments for my father.

Arrogant, has harmed more than one person I know that has had surgery by him. Has killed at least one and been the cause of death later on for another because he failed to acknowledge he made a mistake during surgury and used recalled mesh without informing the patient whom later passed away from it.

Should have his license revoked. He refused to acknowledge my father's agonizing pain post surgury that was not getting better, my father wasted away before our eyes. He went from being a happy, active, healthy guy to emaciated, bedridden before he passed away. This was from common hernia repair surgery. My father was wheeled into all his follow up appointments because he couldn't walk 4 months after and Dr. Davenport refused to do anything or acknowledge he made a mistake. My father is gone now

Dr. Davenport has never been anything but supportive and helpful. He's done three surgeries on me and I trust him 100%.
