Dr. McNichol has been my dr. for a long time. He diagnosed me for a gallstone problem once, and he was accurate with his diagnosis. I developed Pancreatitus and would not have known if he didn't advise me to go to the hospital when I did. He's a nice man and always checks the details and explains issues to me. When he moved to a new office I followed.

Had Dr. McNichol as a primary care doctor for a couple years when he suddenly left Westmed last January. He is pretty good on the one to one, but was slow to follow-up to questions from me via their patient portal. I did not know after I had been with him for a few months he had settled a major malpractice suit while I was his patient. That was a little unsettling finding out after he left Westmed.

After moving from California to Norwalk I took a shot in the dark with a new doctor. Dr. McNicol is great and really takes the time to throughly asks questions, get details/history of an issue and also explain what he's perscibing so I can understand. If I ever have to wait because he's "a little behind" I know it's because he takes time with each patient and they don't feel rushed so I'm ok with that.

I've been seeing Dr. McNicol for over 8 years. He is kind, highly knowledgeable and compassionate. I'm typically nervous at medical appts and he has a very calm demeanor. I came to him with some medically frustrating issues and overall, I feel like night and day now compared to when I first started seeing him as a patient. He takes time to "listen" and values your input (found this rare now in this profession). He will always answer any questions you have and I feel confident in his assessments
