Dr. Donella Jenkins, MD

Had a virtual call to go ver some test results. I started asking her questions to my concerns and she told me that if I had that many questions I should go to school to learn how to read the test results. Rude and disrespectful.

I had an appointment this morning at the new family health care center and I went in for a really bad pink eye she assumed right away I was not taking my antibiotic last prescribed by my doctor , but before that she looked at me in disgust and assumed I didn’t speak English . After I ask if I can get eye drops she said “ no !” Rudely and said you don’t need them she got up and headed to the door and I mentioned is that all “ she replies “ yes” and moves her arm to direct me to get out the room . I left to my car crying because I already had a rough morning and didn’t feel well .

She is incredibly rude. She instantly assumed I couldn’t speak English. Then she dismissed all my mental health concerns telling me I just needed to go for a jog. She told me she couldn’t give me leave nor prescribe anything until she saw I was a threat to myself or others.

I was her patient from 2007-2014. She was one of the few providers in my area who accepted my insurance. She dismissed my medical concerns repeatedly, told me she would approve a medical leave from work due to stress, then denied it when Mh employer sent the paperwork. I was subsequently hostiptalised and when I again asked her to approve a medical leave, she again denied it saying I “just needed to get back to work”. I wish I could say more, but don’t will leave it at simply find another doctor

Don't close your eyes. This dr. Has a history of abandoning her patients.

She's rude, dismissive and I regret not reading reviews before.

If you look up her name you will see she left San Luis Obispo, CA with horrible reviews. She owes me money from treatments she didn't perform and closed her business without returning my money or letting me know not to come to my appointment. Her reviews for HealthWorks in San Luis Obispo speak volumes about her as a doctor. Would never recommend.

Every time I have had an appointment with her she is chewing gum and out of breath. She speaks to you like she thinks you are an idiot and any concerns about potential health issues are a waste of her time. She barely listens to what you say be fore leaving the room for long period of time. And her office has moved twice since she took over Health Works and both times there was no warning to patients. Most recently it seems the office is out of business and they just disappeared without a word.
