Unfortunately Dr. Kim's staff especially Donna his office manager are extremely unhelpful. They honestly don't listen or care for patients. One of the worst experiences i had. UCLA should pay attention to the poor ratings of this office.

Thorough and straight foward
He listened carefully to all my symptoms, had great explanations for my symptoms to reassure me and I could tell he had also really closely looked at my chart and results from other doctors. He was very thorough and honest with regards to all the tests, treatment options and outcomes.

Helpful and concerned
I had a video visit with Dr. Kim regarding my chronic migraine headaches. He listened to my concerns, put in a request for the scalp injections (which I’ve been trying to get ordered for over a year) and offered to make samples of a new abortive med available for me. I’m very satisfied with his care.

Highly recommend him.
He listened to all my concerns, took time to review everything, very professional and patient. He even recommended I discuss a patch for blood pressure medicine as I have tried 7 different ones and all made me sick. My other doctors NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT. I am very happy I saw him.

Let me add my opinion here. I went to the ER with vertigo and vomiting. I subsequently saw Dr. Kim who diagnosed my case as a virus in the ear (vestibulitis). He said there was nothing to be done and that seeing an Ear, Nose, Throat doctor would be fruitless. I had another incident, more violent than the first with additional symptoms. I saw him again. He spent five minutes with me, was dismissive and said it would take weeks or months to resolve. I then went to an ear, nose, throat doctor who diagnosed this as Meniere's disease and prescribed medication which seems to be controlling my symptoms. Need I say more?

Wasn’t surprised to see Dr. Kim with terrible reviews. This is a man I never wish to see again. I don’t know if he has something personal going on in his life or if he is just a horrible person. He is rude, unprofessional, and doesn’t give you his full attention. Stay away.

I have been under the care of Dr Kim for about a year. I have recurrent meningitis and called him with two urgent messages before a trip to the ER. He called me back four days later. Then when I went in to get approved for a migraine treatment he provided my insurance with the inaccurate medical records so I was denied. He doesn't seem to care about his patients and gets me out of his office within 3-4 minutes.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Kim?
Dr. Kim prescribed me a medication that provoked a hypersensitivity reaction so severe that I ended up in the ER. While this was not his fault, when I called to ask for his medical opinion about my irregular reaction, he denied the very real symptoms that I was experiencing, saying that they were not possible side effects of the medication. I then had to wait approximately a month for a follow-up visit, during which he recommended I try a different medication in the same class as the one I reacted to, despite the fact that several other medical professionals (a family member who is a physician, the doctor in the ER) advised me to avoid medications of this type as I will almost certainly have a more acute allergic response if repeatedly exposed.

I was a patient of Dr. Kim's about a year and half ago and had to leave him as my Neurologist after finding out that he was prescribing me an almost placebo dose of my seizure meds without ever doing bloodwork or an EEG to check my levels. Because of his negligent practice I had a seizure while traveling for work even though I'd never had one while on medication. I don't think I've ever been so traumatized by an experience with a physician.

I have had a very hard time trusting doctors since seeing Doctor Kim. He has given me misinformation on multiple occasions and then either lied about it or has just that bad of a memory that he can't remember what he says.
