My physical
This was my physical for 2024. Dr Altherr did a physical exam, a breast exam, reviewed what vaccines are available and which I may benefit from. We went over all my medicines to insure the info was correct/complete and make any adjustments, as needed. Dr gave me lab/test orders for my annual tests like a mammogram and blood test to insure my blood levels are back to normal after my recent hospitalization. I would certainly recommend Dr. Altherr to my family and friends. I like her.

I could not ask for a better Doctor.
Everyone was so nice from the minute I get there till I left. Dr Altherr is very attentive to my concerns. She is very thorough in her exams. She always takes the time to explain everything to me.

Misdiagnosed disc hernia- I needed surgery
Several years ago I was a patient of Dr. Altherr. She misdiagnosed my herniated disc as several things over the seven months I saw her, most notably fibromyalgia. She gave me every opioid under the sun but wouldn’t order an MRI to confirm the slipped disc, saying my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. Trying to discuss it with her was like talking to a brick wall, she would just repeat herself and not listen to me. I finally got her to order an MRI after crying and begging on multiple occasions because I was in such intense pain constantly- my insurance paid for it with no problem. I ended up needing surgery due to the massive size of the hernia- my surgeon said it was the size of his thumb and that it could’ve paralyzed me. I have permanent issues with my legs because of her refusal to get me an MRI sooner. Do yourself a favor and do not see Dr. Altherr.
