Dr. Dorota Telega, MD

Dr. Telega had a tremendously positive impact on our family during a difficult time. Our daughter was struggling with new onset seizures, and Dr. Telega was incredibly responsive. She reached out to me personally to discuss treatment options and to verbalize concerns and barriers. Her collaborative approach was empowering at a time when we felt so powerless, watching our daughter suffer. Dr. Telega was transparent and thorough when considering various medical approaches. I felt well-informed throughout the process, and learned so much about epilepsy. She gave me print-outs about medication and seemed to genuinely value my input as well as my daughter's. Dr. Telega is clearly a brilliant doctor, but even more notable is her willingness to embrace a multi-disciplinary approach that involves her patients and their families. She has been a tremendous blessing to my daughter, our family and our friends and we are so grateful for her time, efforts, expertise and caring heart.

We absolutely love Dr. Telega for all she does for our son and family as a whole. She goes above and beyond what would be expected from a doctor. She takes time to listen and never rushes us and doesn’t dismiss our concerns. She explains everything incredibly well and thoroughly, answering all of our questions, even when the list is long and never ending. She has patience with us and is always there when we need her, like when we are having her paged at 2 am because we are worried about our son. Our son is medically complex and has been seen by many Pediatric Neurologists before we found her. None of them were as intelligent, knowledgeable, trustworthy, compassionate or in sync with our son as she has been. She has a cunning ability to look at the bigger picture and think outside the box while most other doctors only focus on their specialty where things can be easily missed. I could write a book on all the reasons we put our sons life in her hands and why there is no one better!

We have been with Dr Telega for many years. She was the only person who was able to diagnose my daughter, and she was evaluated by others for months. She is caring and attentive. She listens well and asks more questions to get at the root problems. She takes her time. She is very busy but when she is in your room she is with you. We have had to wait at times but I am fine with that, since I know she is giving someone else the extra time they need, and we have benefited from extra time on other visits. She is the best at what she does. We are long time patients that are very happy.

I just love Dr. Telega she literally saved my son's brain, I trust her 100% she is smart compassionate and caring she gets to know her patients and their families also she's very good with my sons hard to treat seizure issues I'm very proud to have Dr telega as my Suns neurologist I feel like she's part of the family I couldn't ask for a better person to manage my son's neurological issues if you have a hard time with your child epilepsy I would recommend her she is wonderful

Dr. Telega is great! She listens to me and explains to me why she makes her decisions and choices for me and how I need to apply them. She asks how I feel about things. I feel part of the decision. I really trust her! She's great!

Dr. Telega did not communicate well. I requested resources regarding my son's neurological disorder and she did not provide me with any. When I asked what the next step was or if we follow up with her, she told me to follow up with the pediatrician if symptoms persist; however, on her report, she wrote that I should return to see her if the problems persist. We left the appointment feeling like we had no answers and no good plan moving forward.
