Great surgeon however….
I had surgery with unexpected results for my pathology. I received the results from the patient portal and they were a shock. I had a post op appointment with the surgeon’s NP who could not give me any useful information concerning what my pathology meant nor next steps. I was told to check the patient portal to see what the surgeon is recommending for next steps. The NP them referred me to an endocrinologist and I was told at that visit that the request was placed for me to be contacted by endocrinology to make an appointment, but that didn’t happen for over a week. I called and left a message on the admin’s VM asking to speak to the surgeon and Dr Fraker never contacted me. Instead, 11 days after my appointment with the NP, I was sent a message from the NP that my case was discussed and I don’t need further surgical care and to follow up with the endocrinologist, I spent an hour sending questions regarding that decision. I felt very uncared about. Overall a terrible experience.

He is an amazing surgeon. He saved my life. I had an aggressive sarcoma in my adductor muscle and he removed it. I had no radiation and 8 years later I’m still here.

Dr. Faker is a brilliant surgeon, I went to him for a second opinion, after I had my first unsuccessful parathyroid surgery. After he performed this difficult surgery, I was cured.

I had surgery with Dr. Fraker all the way back in 2009. I am very pleased with the lack of a scar, a decent recovery time and a doctor willing to answer all my questions so that I could understand his answers..

I had a total thyroidectomy with an overnight hospital stay. Dr. Fraker and his team were outstanding from beginning to end. He is very skilled - 2 weeks out and my scar is very minimal, just a thin red line. Highly recommend.

I had a parathyroidectomy performed by Dr. Fraker. During my initial consultation, I immediately recognized how fortunate I was to have access to such an experienced, highly skilled and “world renowned” surgeon. I felt “safe” under his care and confident that I would have a positive outcome. He is very focused, has great bedside manner and is respectful. My recovery was uneventful. The level of care at the Perelman Surg Ctr by the anesthesiologist, surgeon and nurses exceeded my expectations.

Ignore his bed side manner, he is an extremely talented, skilled and a 'think tank' type guy. You can tell by the way he talks that he doesn't have the answer, but he has the very last single detail of that answer and simply can't get it out fast enough. His job is opening you up and fixing something and honestly, there isn't a single picture my wife found on the internet that looked better than hers. He took extra special time and care marking all the areas and natural creases, the incision is
