Dr. Douglas Freedberg, MD

The appointment felt more like an bother to him than a real exam. He seemed ot have formed a pre opinion from the MRI alone wo an exam. He kept cutting me off, not really listening, and just telling me all that was wrong wo options. When I asked about different treatments, he just said no every time, without explaining why. I figured trying something, anything, was better than nothing. He basically told me I was in a small group of people he couldn't help, and I'd lose my mobility. I was 'too old' for some treatments. Then he just shrugged and said, 'it sucks....just telling it like it is,' and walked out. I had to ask the MA if the appointment was even over! Seriously? He was rude, didn't listen, and wouldn't even consider trying anything different to help me keep moving. Maybe I'm not a young athlete, but that's no way to treat a patient trying to keep their mobility, at not such an old age, and stay out of a wheelchair. I was so sad when I left to be treated that way w no hope.

Excellent bedside manner. Spent time with me to answer my questions and concerns. Explained my condition with options. Was very patient and understanding. Listened to my goals and made recommendations. Didn't push any products. All office staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone made sure I understood next steps before I left the office.

Really not a good experience with this doctor or this office. I was 30 minutes in to my 45 drive to an appointment and the office called to let me know they scheduled me with a doctor that does not see patients for the issue I had (elbow). I had to turn around and be rescheduled. When I finally was able to see Dr. Freedberg he let me know my elbow issue was definitely a tricky problem and there was no easy fix. He rushed me out of my visit. He never followed up, he did not consult other physician opinions as he said he would, and ended up referring me to someone else once I called his office. Very frustrated with the care I received.

Torn L. ACL in 2016. Got Dr. Freedberg. His skill at ACL reconstruction is superb, my knee came out BETTER than it was before I was injured. Who am I? A lifelong amateur athlete over age 50 who just competed in a running sports tournament. I recently recommended him to a friend who just blew out his ACL, and looked up Doc Freedberg just for fun, and thought I'd post my personal experience here while at it. I'm doing well. Left knee osteoarthritis on meniscus. Dr Freedberg explained everything very well and up front and direct about my current condition which I appreciate and what my next steps should be if this treatment did not work.

The office is incredibly well run and all of the staff friendly and efficient. Dr. Freedberg was prompt, kind, gentle, professional and informative. There is no question this will be our family’s go-to orthopedic resource for care!

Super friendly and efficient staff. Dr. Freedberg was kind and patient answering all of my questions. After examining me, he reviewed the x-rays and discussed them with me laying out all of my options for treatment including the risks and benefits. Overall great experience!

I had rotator cuff surgery 3 weeks ago. Dr. Freedberg is the best! He is thorough and answers all my questions. I never feel rushed. My Physical Therapist has 30 yrs. experience & told me my surgeon did an excellent job repairing my rotator cuff. I had 3 tears, bone spurs & extensive debridement done. Dr. Freedberg is the best!
