Absolutely the most horrific medical experience of my life. Subjective experience was one of feeling dismissed, disrespected, manipulated, marginalized, gaslit, patronized (and more) in numerous respects. My personal experience w/ Dr. Hunt was outrageous. He came across to me as lazy, smug, ill-informed & disingenuous. I felt that he did not listen/jumped to conclusions. I felt that I was literally not believed in numerous respects, and placed into a box while too ill to fight/advocate for myself. I felt that my symptoms were minimized, even more so upon discharge. At no time did I firmly believe that he genuinely invested real/hard critical thought into the entirety of my medical circumstances. Probably a decent doctor for traditional issues, but.... A zero star rating would be more appropriate. Patients deserve better from specialists.

My experience with Dr Hunt is at the highest level. Not only he is excellent at what he does, he is also caring, friendly, on time, thorough, and easy to comunicate with. He made sure I understand the process, and answered my questions and concerns. He removed 3 polyps during my procedure. 1 of the polyps was adenomatous. He wrote a letter to me and expained about my byopsy results. He also made suggestions on how to adopt healthy habits to lower risk of future colon problems. I higly recommend Dr Hunt.

One week exactly for only his nurse to give me verbal result of abnormal scan only because I kept calling. Finally when he did call back he stated he never called back because he was waiting to discuss my chart with a surgeon. REALLY!? Unacceptable. And only apologized after I told him that was unacceptable follow through.

My experience with Dr. Hunt was the highest degree of excellence, from his listening to any concerns I had, to explaining procedure, results, and rare possibility of any complications. He is a very caring doctor in every way, and his team is also incredible. I would recommend him highly to anyone for G. I. evaluation. Thank you, Dr. Douglas Hunt. Zola, La Jolla

I was 15 minutes late because I went to the wrong building. I was told to wait. After waiting 20 minutes I was told Dr, Hunt refused to see me, to talk to me or to book another appointment for less than 6 weeks out. I was told to go home. Very disappointing that a healthcare professional can be so cold and have no concern for his patient's health.
