Phenomenal outcome post cataract surgeries!!
I have had a truly phenomenal outcome post op with Dr. Koch for both eyes despite an epiretinal membrane in one eye. He also selected iol lenses and Rx’s that have worked exceptionally well for me. Not all surgeons have this level of skill! He is to be very highly commended!!

The Best of the Best
I was told by many ophthalmologist there was nothing to do to save my vision due to a broken capsule during a cataract lens surgery. I had five years of opinions that would have left me blind. Yes, they were from ophthalmologist. Finally, Dr. Judith Kirby of Dallas, Texas found Dr. Koch who restored my vision to 20/20. Be careful and find a good doctor.

No appts. available until 2023-is this Canada?
Good luck. An Existing patient cannot get an consultation appt. for followup surgery, as recommended by their Optometrist. The earliest is a 6 month wait - just for a consultation with. Dr. Koch. Totally unacceptable.

Dr. Koch and his team performed cataract surgery on both my eyes plus retinal surgery on one eye. The results are stellar (20/20 both eyes) – certainly well worth the several months wait for the first appointment. In case you are not aware, Dr. Koch is at the very top echelon of ophthalmologists in the U.S. and surely the world. A little research on the web will net numerous highly technical medical papers written by Dr. Koch. Frequently, papers written by other ophthalmologists will cite Dr. Koch for one or more of his papers as reference. In his day-to-day practice, Dr. Koch is usually accompanied by an intern or doctor fortunate enough to be mentored by the master. If you put your eyesight in the hands of Dr. Koch, you can be sure you will get the best eye treatment available anywhere. Why not the best?

I had cataract surgery on both eyes by Dr. Douglass Koch. He explained to me that people who had lasik surgery (as I did) don't always get a perfect outcome. I had perfect 20/20 vision in both eyes a day after each surgery. I am overjoyed with the results! Dr. Koch is very meticulous in his prep, his explanations, and his skills. He is an excellent surgeon and a very kind being. The nursing staff on both surgeries told me he is one of their best doctors. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

He is amazing. Worth my wait o see him. I had unsuccessful lens implant elsewhere and he and his group were able to correct my vision. It was through intense testing and patience that they found what was wrong and devised a plan for correction. I was in total awe. The entire staff was concerned and sincerely engaged in my well being. I declared the entire process a miracle. I am forever grateful to Dr. Koch for restoring my vision.

Dr. Koch performed my surgery in 2006 and my vision has remained 20/20 since that time. I am now 52 years old and I have never had any problems whatsoever with my vision. He was thorough, personable and precise. He performed several screening exams and tests prior to the surgery to ensure that I would be a viable candidate. The surgery went very smoothly and the recovery was minimal. I highly recommend Dr. Koch without reservation.

I never write reviews so this is my first. I'm writing because I was so impressed with my surgery and care from Dr. Koch and Dr. Houser. I can imagine that seeing patients and doing surgery day after day becomes routine. However, being a patient, this could be the first time seeing a doctor and the patient, me, knows NOTHING. Both doctors took the time to explain everything to my husband and I and ended the visit with "do you have any other questions for me?" Can't ask for anything more.

Dr. Koch is warm and knowledgeable, as well as wise and practical. I would highly recommend him and his office. He has an efficient office operation with very nice staff and was worth waiting for. I went to him for a second opinion, and he saved me thousands of dollars for my two cataract surgeries that restored my vision (by using good lens implants that were covered by insurance, and by deferring unnecessary treatment for my keratoconus).
