Great psychiatrist
He listens to my concerns and he genuinely cares about me, unlike my last psychiatrist. One thing that impressed me- he does regular checks for tardive dyskinesia for anyone on antipsychotics. This is super important because tardive dyskinesia can be a permanent side affect that can continue for the rest of your life even after you stop the medication , if you don’t stop the med in time. Checking for this regularly helps to make sure this doesn’t happen. Also he checks your blood pressure and weight regularly for side effects- also not what most psychiatrists do. He is very knowledgeable and will listen to your concerns. When I saw him I went from being depressed for 3 years to feeling back like myself. I sometimes do research on the medications he suggests and he listens to me when I want to take something different or found negative research about it. He’s kind, patient, and observant. He used to work in psych ED and got negative reviews when he had to involuntarily commit people.

I’ve had unsatisfactory encounters with male Drs. With little optimism and discomfort, I started my therapy. I’ve had 8 previous psychiatrists and have received around 20 ineffective medications. Dr Landy considered more than present diagnoses and didn't immediately commence prescribing medications. We had several sessions where he asked pertinent questions before sharing his treatment plan, and suspicion I had ADHD. Past providers did not propose this, and I did not agree with that conclusion. I doubted his judgement, but adhered to his treatment plan. He was correct, I was incorrect. He has permanently improved my quality of life. Now I sleep properly, have less anxiety, heighten my productivity, and can quiet my mind. Dr Landy is intelligent, offbeat, kind, and I hypothesize, neurotypical. : ) I am grateful for all the life improvements he's provided me. I can’t adequately convey how thankful I am. The Highest of praises and recommendation for Dr Landy.

Dr. Landy is extremely knowledgeable and always addresses my concerns thoroughly. He listens attentively whenever I bring up a symptom, side effect, or even just a simple quirk that I am experiencing. He is consistently able to provide sound scientific context for whatever it is that I am trying to explain. I appreciate that he takes the time to confirm his understanding of my statements before weighing in, and never patronizes me or dumbs down his explanations. I prefer technical terminology over clumsy attempts at using layman's terms. Dr. Landy recognizes this and gives me straight answers. I have total confidence in Dr. Landy and recommend him highly.
