Pleased
I had surgery in 2012. The staff was very kind and helpful. Dr. Milam did a great job and I was very pleased with the results. I saw the bad reviews and my experience was very different. Everything went well. While I didn't spend a lot of time with Dr. Milam, that did not matter to me. I was more interested in his surgical skills. I was surprised to read the negative reviews.

Appointments were scheduled very far out, on the days scheduled I wouldn't be able to see him until hours after the scheduled time, and the appointments were pointless. I had questions about my condition, he answered none of them. Every single diagnostic test had to be specifically requested by me, and he was at times condescending. It was as if he enjoyed doing nothing while others suffered. Why is this person paid just so a then teenage patient has to do all the research work? He should be fired.

Avoid Dr. Milam
Dr. Milam performed sugery on me and messed me up so bad I was willing to pay out of pocket to travel out of state to have it redone. His and his staffs' level of professionalism and follow up are horrible. He is condensending and so is his staff. Terrible doctor, avoid him at all costs.

I had nothing but a wonderful experience with Dr. Milam. The whole office in Franklin, TN was professional and efficient. Everything was done timely and without interruption or delay. I think Dr. Milam is very experienced because the procedure (vasectomy) took only a matter of minutes and I barely knew he was performing it. We chatted about things while he was working and it really relaxed me. I cannot imagine giving this gentleman a bad review. He is a very good and skilled man!

This office is like being a lab rat. You spend almost zero time with Dr Milam and it’s pretty obvious he is trying to get as many people in and out with as many procedures as possible. You rarely see him because everyone else is doing the work. He walks in for minutes, asks you almost nothing and then leaves. I truly believe he does not care about the actual patient. He needs to retire. I will NEVER be back.

I scheduled a surgery many months ago with Dr. Milam which he told me would require me to be a "serious couch potato" for several days or risk painful damage that he could not repair. It was set for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. My parents arranged to travel 10 hours and my wife scheduled to be off work. The office sent me documents when I scheduled, and confirmed about a month ago. Today, in September, a scheduler called to say Milam was "unavailable." No other explanation. Outrage.

A butcher. I had him do a penile implant in early 2016. I lost two full inches of length. His "gatekeeper" nurse prevented me from communicating with him, so there were further complications. I will have the procedure done again by another surgeon in NYC. I also waited over eight hours to get into surgery. There was no bed for me after surgery, so I slept on a gurney in a holding room all night. I have nothing good to say, except stay away!

To schedule an appt took months... then a week before surgery his office called to reschedule for three more months away. NO EXPLANATION. Just that he is "unavailable". Probably decided to take a vacation despite appointments scheduled then for months. He is useless. His office staff is rude and he us arrogant.

I'm currently waiting for him in the examination room. 1.5 hours and counting.... freezing in here also previous appointment with him also not great: he doesn't take much time and it took more weeks before he bothered looking at test results after the nurse left him a message.
