Great Doctor
Was a patient of Dr. Nelson when he was practicing in Houston Tx. He knows what he is talking about and gives you all the information you need to survive. On November 13th of this year I have survived Stage IV breast cancer for more than 10 years. If you get so lucky to have Dr. Nelson for your doctor, you need to thank God above for putting this doctor in your life.

My experience with Dr Douglas Nelson was horrific and life threatening. I had a yearly mammogram in 2017 at St Lukes. Ashley Stanley read the mammogram. I recieved a letter in the mail shortly after stating my mammogram was good. 8 months later I found out I had stage 4 breast and bone cancer. Since Dr Nelson was my Oncologist I asked him to pls reread that mammogram. Dr Nelson refused . He told me that was not his role.At that time I didn't know how he would cover for the radiologist Ashley Stanley who read my mammogram. He continued to make excuses why he would not reread that mammogram. I asked 3 other Drs to read it and was turned down by each over several months. This went on until I finally found an intelligent Oncologist who wasn't part of a cover up brotherhood. He offered to look at the mammogram after I told him my story. He instantly saw the tumor in my breast that Ashley Stanly missed at St Lukes. Shame on Dr Douglas Nelson, Shame! Dr. Nelson also missed the cancer cells

Outstanding doctor! In 2012, he and his nurse, Candy saw me through chemo and radiation. Because of their diligence and dedication, today, I am able to enjoy my family, especially my grandson, whom I thought I would not live to see, and now, joyfully await the arrival of another grandson! Thank you Dr. Nelson and Candy. Also, thank you, M .D Anderson- the only place to go for cancer treatment!
