AMAZING DOCTOR AND STAFF
Dr. Padgett did both my hips . One was a revision of right hip I had done on LI. in ‘86. by different Dr…. The other he did 2001 four days after 911…. I offered to postpone it, but he said No, it’s time for us to get back to work Helen. I had occasion to see him recently regarding a back surgery, again, on LI, not dr. from. HSS… He was patient, empathetic, and referred me to a Doctor who may be able to help me.. Douglas Padgett is one of THE MOST , knowledgeable, professional, and kindest Doctors I have ever known.. I have referred him to numerous people over the years.. I am not biased, just being honest.. He is a credit to his mentor, Dr. Phillip Wilson.. He is a gem. His staff is also as wonderful as he is. God bless him and his staff.

Horrible Experience! AbusiveAggressive and Rude!
One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor! I was a dancer all my life and in one of the most popular Broadway shows at the time. I went in I get his opinion on my hip. He mocked me after I got emotional about just wanting to dance again. Then my last appointment, after he explained I was born with shallow hip sockets told me, 'Your pain is here!' And he put pressure on exactly where my pain was extremely aggressively! Walks out of the room and says he couldn't help me. Terrible Experience! After that I went to NYU and they helped me there! Beware! I highly Do Not Recommend

My father took my mother to an 11:30 AM appointment. They arrived well before 11:00 and were directed to get a hip scan. Dr. Padgett’s office mistakenly ordered a scan on the wrong side, leading to a long delay as the error was rectified. They were told the delay was because no physician was available in Dr. Padgett’s office to confirm the correction. The result was that they were only able to go see Dr. Padgett an hour late. Dr. Padgett told them that he is a busy man and will prioritize the people who respect his time, and if he didn't have time, they'll have to make another appointment. My 81 year old Hispanic father tried to explain that not only were they on time, but early. Dr. Padgett spoke over him and mockingly asked “Do you read English?” My father, shocked, responded: “Oh, so you hear my accent. You would stoop so low?” A member of Dr. Padgett’s staff came in and tried to tell him my parents were there early. He refused to listen and stormed out. My parents left unseen.

Dr Padgett is an incredible surgeon who recently performed a hip replacement surgery on me. He explained the total procedure along with his PA Dorothy. To find an elite doctor like Dr Padgett who accepts many insurances is like finding a diamond in the rough. You are in great hands with Dr Padgett.

I had a left hip replacement done by Dr. Padgett. I was very concerned before I got it done and did a great deal of research. I also spoke to 3 other surgeons before I made a decision. I am very happy with my choice. Dr. Padgett's skill is excellent and his follow through was also quite superb. I need to get my other hip done, and there is no question that I will go back to him.

I have a complicated medical history where 1 surgeon wouldn't even consider my hip replacement; Dr. Padgett was willing to work with me to get it replaced. He not only saw me in recovery but everyday I was in the hospital. When I was home and experiencing some pain issues; I spoke to the after surgery nurse. Dr. Padgett saw that I had called and called the next day and was willing to help me get to the root of the pain problem. Great Surgeon, compassionate man and Doctor.

Dr. Padgett replaced one of my hips less than 6 weeks ago. I have a lifetime of coping with osteoporosis and arthritis, and I am astonished by the phenomenal skill and kindness of this doctor! I have had NO pain (just light soreness sometimes) in recovering from this surgery, and I immediately was able to walk normally, the day after surgery. Dr. Padgett also took into account both my hypermobility and the condition of my lower spine. To my astonishment, I no longer have lower back pain.

Dr. Padgett replaced my husband's hip almost a year ago. He has an excellent bedside manner and spent over an hour with us during our initial consultation discussing my husband's employment (construction), his restrictions at work and what he wants to be able to do again pain free. All of our follow up with him and his staff has been excellent.
