I presented to Baylor Scott & White Grapevine via Ambulance after a fall. DR.Smith was assigned to my case. He was very easy to talk with, he explained my condition in depth and was very kind and compassionate. Dr Smith performed my surgery for a femur fracture. Dr Smith and his associates were wonderful. After a stint in step-down ICU and then going to Rehab, I am at home recovering and doing well. I cant say enough good things about Dr Smith and his skills and his compassion. Thank you. Wanda Hayes

Hip Replacement on my 93 yr old grandmother
Dr. Douglas Smith did hip replacement surgery on my grandmother today, he made sure she was in perfect condition before he performed the Surgery by contacting the appropriate specialist on a very timely manner and following through on every patient need. He also made her feel at ease and explained everything until she understood exactly what was happening. I was very impressed with his patience and bed side manners.

Wasn't my pick
I met Dr Smith in a trauma situation and I feel very lucky that he was on duty that day. Thoroughly explained the procedures as well as hopeful outcomes. He answered all our questions & encouraged us To ask more until we were totally at ease with his answers. Great physician to have at your side

Lack of empathy and compassion will abruptly take you off of medication after lying to your face telling you he will continue to prescribe it. His office and staff will promise to get you a referral to a pain management physician and than never return phone calls nor provide the referral

Referred by Mercy Emergency Room personal to follow up with a break in femur. Dr.Smith on time and has great patient manner. Having a open reduction of Femur on Thurs. not me but my cousin.
