An Outstanding Doctor
I had cervical surgery as well as surgery to treat my scoliosis under Dr. Pitt’s care. He encourages non-invasive, conservative care and only performs surgery after those treatments are not helping correct the problem. I have been under Dr. Pitt’s care for many years and know him to be compassionate, thorough, an attentive listener, and extremely passionate about his work.

Lower lumbar fusion
Absolutely outstanding surgeon! Post surgery I followed his instructions to the letter. The results- 5 months after surgery I was back on the bike and riding/finished Tour de Tucson with zero pain. 2.5 years later I completed IronMan Arizona. He’s the real deal, I recommend him without hesitation.

Great surgeon - Board Certified - this guy cares.
Be open with him. He will listen. My first visit was in 2017, complaining of lower back pain. I happened to mention neck pain when I look up. He ordered an MRI of neck and lower spine. The next week, the results showed acute issue with my neck. Within 2 weeks, he performed a cervical fusion. A second opinion confirmed the procedure kept me out of a wheel chair. My lower back finally caught up with me in 2021, and he did a lumbar laminectomy that was very successful. More recently, after suffering several falls, he performed a cervical laminectomy ; healing and recovery is better than expected. This man cares about his patients, and is dedicated to their well-being. I cannot recommend him more highly.

Love Dr. Pitt!
I first saw Dr Pitt back in 2004 which was when he changed my life for the better. I had been suffering for 5 years with terrible back pain when Dr. Pitt was recommended. He did a lumbar spinal fusion and I was upright and healed! Fast forward to 2021 when I needed a cervical fusion. Same wonderful care from Dr. Pitt. I have seen other negative reviews posted and can’t believe they are speaking of the same person. He’s caring, very knowledgeable and he explains to me like I’m 5 which I appreciate! Highly recommend.

If you need a spine guy
I have seen Dr. Pitt for years for my wife and child. He has taken great care in listening and giving us all the information needed to make an educated decision on our healthcare. He has explained procedures and potential complications. He treated us like family.

Back Surgery
I am thankful I found Dr. Pitt! When I was looking for a back surgeon back in 2006 I didn't know where to start. I went to a couple of different surgeons but felt the most comfortable with Dr. Pitt. I had a spine fracture in my lower back from a skydiving accident. I ended up getting an L5-S1 spinal fusion in 2008. I went from nonstop pain medicine and sleeping on the floor to getting my life back! I had a 100% recovery. Then, stemming from my back, in 2014 I developed neuropathy in my left foot (foot drop). At that point I was not living in Arizona but knew I needed to get back to Dr. Pitt. Turns out I needed a laminectomy and Dr. Pitt was willing to get me in immediately so no additional nerve damage would be done. He performed the surgery and again, Dr. Pitt gave me my life back! I can do most things I want from yard work to mountain biking. I am thankful and feel blessed. Dr. Pitt is also a great person. He is knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. I think very highly of him.

Terrible doctor!
My granddaughter is 21, very kind and somewhat shy. She is very accepting...except when she saw Dr. Pitt. He talked down to her, invalidated her as a person, told her she'd be in pain the rest of her life, and then ended up ordering the wrong MRI! Do not see this doctor!

Waited patiently for the doctor to come out and tell me about how the procedure went. I was quite nervous and scared. One by one I saw all the other doctors come out and explain to relatives of patients how the procedure went and spend time with them answering questions... After waiting far too long, I asked the nurses station for status, they told me he was just finishing and would be out shortly.... never happened. Then the nurse approached me and said Dr Pit will call you tonight, never did.!

Terrible. I referred a pt. of mine to Dr. Pitt for scoliosis and be the time she left she was told by the PA she has red flags for bone cancer and that her mx for breast cancer that she has been on for 2 years with her oncologist was not the right mx. They wanted to do more testing which was confirmed as not necessary and her oncologist was appalled at the way she was treated!! I am very upset that I referred her there for scolioses after I had researched Dr. Pitt as being a specialist.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Pitt. I went to him a few times for a pelvic fracture follow up and each time I was disappointed. He does not listen and quickly jumps to conclusions without asking questions, doing an examination or listening to the story. He did not seem to have read my file or know anything about my case each time I saw him. I found him both arrogant and condescending, and would not recommend him to anyone.
