Not Good

Arrogance is helpful to no one. So immature and unprofessional. I made a mistake thinking Duc Vuong was a medical doctor.

Terrible patient attention, seems to be just a money-grabber with no follow-up or interest at all in patients' well-being. I'm amazed he is allowed to keep his license.

He is so fast in his office visits you don’t have time to ask good questions. He was rude to my husband. When surgery did not go as planned I never talked to him in post opt and he could not talk to me himself. In fact he told me in an appointment that he would love to take on more patients. Having him as a doctor was one of the biggest mistakes I have made.

Dr vuong only knows how to perform the sleeve. He's not interested in his patients, he simply wants to be famous for being a surgeon! He's narcissistic and greedy. He's no longer employed as a dr anywhere due to ethical, medical and legal issues!

Remarkable surgeon and healthy weight expert. I lost 50 pounds almost five years ago under his direction and it is still gone.

Dr. Vuong is truly exceptional. He goes beyond what any patient could ask for in a surgeon. He knows us all by name, he runs several support groups a WEEK for his patients. His program is amazing. He’s brilliant, compassionate and dedicated to his patients’ success - not just in our weight loss journeys but in our life journeys as well. My surgery and recovery went beautifully. I’ve referred several friends to him and they’re very pleased. He’s everything a physician should be. And then some.

I would never recommend him to any friends or family members, especially to be blown off from both staff/providers from both sides of his practice. I don't recommend this provider(s) to anyone and if you do decide to go with this group be prepared for 12 minute wait times on the phone to get transferred to VM, w/ no response on top of wasting your time getting procedures completed for surgery just for him not to respond. Not only did I waste my time, my insurance paid for procedures for nothing.

His support classes and materials for before surgery and after surgery cannot be found anywhere else in Albuquerque. Staff is so helpful and ready to please. The people who attend his support classes are the best friends a patient could need and you can attend for as long as you want.

I have never met a doctor with as much devotion to his patients as Dr. Vuong. He provides total life transformation, not just from the surgery, but the preparation he requires ahead of time (nutritionist visits, lose weight on your own, quit bad habits such as smoking) and the support that is provided post-op. Support groups, cooking classes, gardening, meditation - I don't know how he does it all!
