Dr. Dustin Baylor, MD

My wife had an appointment with Dr Baylor on November 30, 2023. I accompanied her to the appointment. She was having problems with taking 1000 mg twice a day for her type 2 diabetes. She asked the doctor if they could discuss a different medicine. She said I had a few notes on her phone she wanted to talk to him about. Dr Baylor replied okay fast, very fast. Since when is a doctor doesn’t have the time to listen to a patient. We couldn’t have been in his office with him but 3-4 minutes. We had suggested a medicine and he completely shut it down. First it was how much it would cost us. Then it was about the possible side effects. Everything has side effects including the medicine that she was on. It is causing her terrible problems with her stomach. I’ve been seeing him since 2018, but in the last year, he is rushing you out. A doctor should always take time to listen to the patient. Unfortunately, it is our experience he does not anymore. Find a different doctor as we have.

Dr. Baylor is incredibly smart and knows what he is talking about. He takes time with all of his patients where most doctors only spend maybe 5-10 minutes with theirs. He explains everything incredibly well, and even gives an after visit sheet with all of his findings/recommendations as well, which is nice since I tend to be forgetful. My only complaint is that his front desk woman isn't very nice.

He cares about you and your family! Enough to not be like so many other docs that push pills and give out narcotics. The only people who don't like him are usually looking for specific meds. And he gives you, in writing, the visit note! He and his staff are the best!

The emphasis is on explanation with a plan given - in writing - before leaving.

Very unprofessional- I had a scan that would be followed up with surgery. However because this Doctor did not see kidney stones as urgent- I sat and waited for more than a week for results & tried getting an appointment. I was told the soonest he could see me was 3 weeks away and that if the scan showed anything they would call me with the results. So I didn't get a phone which should have meant the scan was negative. Wrong my gyno looked at the scan & found multiple problems.
