Dr. Dustin McDermott is amazingly professional! I took his advice on how to be successful and followed his guidelines. Just had my surgery 2 days ago and not in any kind of pain. The surgery was fast and flawless. I have recommended Dr. McDermott to anyone anxious about the procedure, he will talk you through the process and answer any questions you may have. His team and his nurse present the information in a way that is simple to understand and easy to follow. I can not even begin to explain how please I am with the outcome so far. I had my procedure 12/3/2019. He is a great Dr. He doesn't talk much, Yet awesome at what he does. I had a hernia he took care of that as well. The staff was awesome every last one of them. I had no complication and still losing. Thank you Dr. M

Dr. McDermott and his staff were so helpful every step of the way. While I was in surgery they discovered a hernia and repaired it. I didn’t have any issues after surgery and am really happy with the care I received.

The absolute best around!! Amazing bedside manor and extremely helpful in every aspect of what he does! Had a surgical procedure done in December of 2015 and he still answers any questions i may have! Love love love this man and his staff! They’re all very helpful!

Dr. McDermott did my husband’s gastric sleeve surgery. I was totally blown away by his office staff. We were referenced by our name and did not mind answering questions. They helped us every step of the way through the whole process. He saved my husband’s life. My husband had a bowel obstruction and he repaired it. He himself called me and kept me informed of everything concerning my husband. Never felt rushed while speaking with him. Not enough good words can be said about this doctor

Long before I considered Gastric surgery, Doctor McDermott earned my respect and admiration when he saved my cousins' life in emergency surgery. My Primary Dr. finally agreed to VSG procedure when he found out I was going to see Dr. McDermott. His entire office staff go out of their way to help you. All I have to do is call and my questions are answered in a very short time. Erica is fantastic! I recommend him to everyone!

Dr. McDermott is a very caring doctor. After my surgery and release from the hospital I went home and went to bed. Upon waking I was extremely nauseous and could not keep any meds down. I called after hours and he quickly responded and called me in new meds. He even called and checked on me for two more days!!

Dr McDermott is an excellent surgeon. He has been my surgeon with gallbladder surgery and, most recently weight loss surgery. He and his staff have been professional, supportive and very informative every step of the way. Dr McDermott has a great bedside manner and is kind to everyone. I am also a Nurse and have work along side him and have seen his bedside manner with many patients. Always excellent as described.

I am so thankful for Dr McDermott and his staff! I thought about having weight loss surgery for many years and kept talking myself out of it. 62 years old and realized I really HAD to do something to be able to take care of myself and my loved ones. My son found Dr McDermott and I immediately felt comfortable with him. His staff is awesome. Erica Goodman even offered to come to the parking lot and walk me in if I needed the moral support! Dr McDermott was very thorough, very patient with me.

I do not even know how to start a review of a Dr who literally saved my life. He was very hands on and not only helped changed my body physically but mentally as well. My cousin referred me to him and basically I won the lottery. With the support and knowledge he was able to provide to me I actually enjoy life after 40 years. He has assembled a top notch team to guide me thru this process from Erica to my nutrionist I could never of made a better decision to have of chosen this man. EXCELLENT!!!

I had gastric sleeve done 2 years ago and Dr McDermott is the best. If anyone is looking into having this procedure done I highly recommend it and definitely highly recommend Dr McDermott.

I had been in the ER on more than one occasion with 12-13 hour long vomiting episodes and horrible abdominal pain. Previously had been treated with meds and sent home. The last time I came in with same issues they called Dr. McDermott in. He got right to solving the problem, having me admitted and tests run. He was very thorough, caring, and professional. He had me treated and feeling better very quickly! He checked in on me several times while in the hospital. Best surgeon in East Texas!
