He takes his time and listens. I like to be a BIG part of my healthcare decisions and prefer homeopath toand lifestyle cahanges rather than just using manufactured drugs. When I went to the hospital for heart attack symptoms, they were stumped as to the reason, he figured it out and we went from there for treatment, not just treating the symptoms but treating the cause. He will carefully explain things and does not make you feel like you are not capable of understanding, always askes if you understand. When my husband goes with me, he explains it to him also and includes him in the visit. As an older couple it is important we understand each others healthcare needs and he allows this to happen

I have had several or many appointments and interactions with Dr. Hickey,. He is always friendly, honest, and right on track with his diagnosis and tests, he brings a wealth of knowledge and is very personable.

Dr Hickey is an awesome caring doctor. He actually listens to me and I believe he cares about his patients.

Dr Hickey is very thorough. He was active in followup of a problem with an infected elbow. He sent me straight back to emergency after they had released me. I trust him completely.

It may sound dramatic, but I’m probably alive because of Dr. Hickey. I had a persistent cough for nearly 2 1/2 months and was attributing it to the flu going around. Dr. Hickey kept probing and asked me if I was experiencing any swelling in my ankles. I was in fact having swelling but forgot to mention it because it was the cough that was bothering me not the swelling. He ordered a CT and an Ultrasound. Guess what- the CT showed I had numerous clots in my lungs. Absolutely recommend this guy!

Dr. Hickey is an excellent diagnostician. He saw flags on day 1 that all of my older PCPs from over the years blatantly missed and misdiagnosed. He is extremely patient and very empathetic. One of my first experiences where I was in the examination room for 30-40 minutes with a Dr patiently hearing me out rather than dash to the next appointment. His explanation of what was happening with me was thorough and answered each and every one of my questions and concerns. You can't go wrong with him!

Dr, Hickey is not a trusting Dr. He changed reports after the fact. He lies to your face trying to make himself feel better about not knowing how to treat you.

I’m so satisfied with Dr. Hickey and his staff that I’m interviewing new medical insurance Companies and making that change in order to continue to be seen by him. Dr. Hickey is the type of doctor most people are not accustom to because he genuinely cares for his patients and makes something no one wants to do seem not so bad.I’d not trade him for anything.

I never trusted the doctor, he seems less knowledgeable and asks the patients itself why the reports are not in and tells for any symptoms u show and not recovered with his medication prescribed the it is fishy..NOT TRUSTWORTHY

Dr. Hickey is honestly the best doctor I have ever had. He is intelligent, funny and best of all - he understands me. His patience and charismatic behavior are only second to his knowledge in the medical field. I used to hate the doctors but truly enjoy my visits with Dr. Hickey as I feel I can be 100% honest about my current issues. I encourage anyone in the greater Sacramento area who is looking for a Doctor to go see Dr. Hickey.

Best PCP ever he really listens and figures out any health issues you run into. He is laid back calm collective and covers each case methodologically. Does not rush you out the door and really tries to figure out the best treatment.
