Terrible Bedside Manner
My daughter had an appointment at America's Best in Bowie, MD and this provider was extremely rude and condescending. I understand that masks are still needed in certain places however, the receptionist (who was extremely helpful) was busy on the phone with another patient while also trying to check us in, did not have a chance to inform us about the mask policy. When the provider called us back, he immediately and rudely, demanded to know where our masks were. I informed him that I was not aware of their policy and asked if he has extra masks. He pointed to the front and said" go see the receptionist". After we obtained the masks, we went back to exam room where he completed the eye exam in less than 10 minutes. He confirmed that my daughter's prescription had changed and asked when was her last exam. I told him it had been a few a years due to Covid. He replied very rudely and condescendingly, " Covid has been over for two years, children need an exam every year."
