Dr. Edgar Flores, MD

Our experience with Dr. Flores was distressing and life-threatening. Seeking emergency care due to a severe worsening of our child's condition, he was part of the care team during a critical moment. Unfortunately, from the outset, his approach was dismissive and unpleasant. Despite our child's presentation with hemodynamic instability and extreme pain, He suggested they needed to calm down, displaying a lack of understanding and empathy. The initial treatment consisted of NSAIDS. It was only after being admitted and undergoing warranted testing a few days later that we learned our child wouldn't have made it through the day without the treatment provided. Dr. Flores's failure to address the severity of our child's presentation, coupled with dismissive behavior, almost had catastrophic consequences. This experience has left us deeply concerned about the standard of care provided in the emergency room. We urge for a thorough evaluation of protocols to prevent such lapses in the future.

This provider is completely unprofessional. He is young and has something to prove but has a lot to learn. His arrogance is off putting. We spent 3 hours in the pediatric ED with our son last night. Worried he could have been exposed to rabies. His opinion was contradictory to the research I have done and what the veterinarian educated us to do. His bedside manner was atrocious, he decided it was best practice to have me talk to registration and dad talk to him so I found myself splitting focus in order to hear and speak with the doctor too. I left without a decision and without peace of mind. CCMC is becoming less and less trustworthy every time I go.
