Finances are not their concern, be very careful.
I was referred to Dr. Chen when I had a gallstone attack and was admitted to the ER that is attached to this facility. I had a consultation with Dr. Chen and he happily took the money for that. He seemed like a great doc from the talk we had, and I needed to have my gall bladder removed. After trying to get it approved through my insurance, it turned out that I had some weird plan that doesn't cover surgeries. OK great, I worked with the benefits coordinator to pick a plan for the next year that had Dr. Chen in network. I picked an HMO, went to my Primary Care and got the referral needed as soon as the new year hit. THEN after weeks of back and forth they called me to tell me that Dr. Chen doesn't take any marketplace plan, and that I would not be covered. Now, if I hadn't specifically picked my insurance plan for 2024 to cover him, I'd be a little less upset but the only goal that I had was that my gall bladder come out as fast as possible, and that need was instilled in me by D

Amazing Surgeon
Dr. Chen and the Texas Center team went above and beyond to ensure I was well informed and the weight loss surgery process. When surgery day came everything went smoothly and I couldn't be happier. The recovery was easy, barely any pain, and putting my health first was the best thing I ever did. Thank you for giving me a second lease on life.

The Best
Fantastic experience from start to finish. My insurance covers bariatric surgery but I had no idea what that entailed to get surgery. Dr Chen and his office patiently explained everything to me and my husband. By the the time surgery day came and went… all I can say is I wish I had had this life changing surgery early. Good bye diabetes ! Hello healthy me !
