Dr. Eduardo Carrera, MD

Dr. Carrera is always supportive, caring and genuinely listens to me, his client-patient. His recommended treatments and his knowledge and expertise have resulted in (occasionally very, very little) no pain without painkillers. His pain management skills are excellent, I’m very happy I was referred to Dr. Carrera, a great doctor.

Because I know people like quick information, I’ll start this review with one big slogan – “This office is Hands Down one of the best healthcare offices I’ve ever been too.” The details are below for those who care to know why. But simply put, from how Jim spent an hour talking me thru my frustrations with the system and the last 3 doctors I saw, to him explaining to me why a certain medication could help and to try it, so I did and it worked. Had he not explained it, I wasn’t going to pick it up as all the other prescriptions did me nothing for me. And then finally, after 5 days of worrying about what I expected was going to be the Worst Pain of my life (Because the last doctor who did my Epidural 5 yrs prior was a hack and everything about that experience was horrible and agonizingly painful! So I expected the same experience with Dr. So, here’s what I’ll tell you. If you have been told you need to get an Epidural or other injection to your spine, and you are scared, concerned,

Dr Carrera is very professional and the process is very quick and not painful. I have a fear of needles and the process still isn’t awful. 1st one gave about 5-6 months of pain relief before I shoveled some snow and torqued my back again.

I enjoyed my visit and I had a lot of pain. Dr Carrera diagnosed it well. I was able to get a cortisone shot and it was exactly what was needed.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Carrera and the Advent Medical Group in Castle Rock. He thoroughly explained all available treatment options and addressed any questions I had. He takes a conservative approach initially and only explores further steps if the relief you're seeking isn't achieved. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Dr. Carrera and his staff is awesome and well educated. He is very kind and explains everything super simple. 10 out of 10!

I was in severe hip and groin pain.Had had an X-ray, chiropractic treatments, physical therapy and an MRI. Was referred to Dr. Carrera for possible injection therapy.I was extremely pleased with Dr. Carrera and nurse Kathy in their diagnosis and prescribed steroid injection to treat my condition.I had no fear of the injection and the day of the procedure, I found the doctor and nurse’s care, communication and education to me to be sterling.I experienced no pain with the injection and the pain relief was nearly complete in two days.Very grateful for their professionalism, courtesies, and efficient and effective medical care.

I was able to get an appointment quickly. Staff very friendly. Dr. Carerra was very engaged, easy to speak with and genuinely concerned with relieving my considerable pain issues in a conservative yet effective way. Explained pros and cons of various treatments in an understandable and thorough manner. I have heard similar reviews from friends to which I have referred Dr. CARRERA.

Not only was Dr. Carrera knowledgeable and had wonderful bedside manner. He was so compassionate and really understood the pain I was in and how to fix it. I could not recommend him enough because He’s an amazing doctor. His team is also so energetic and empathetic as well.

Dr. Carrera is very attentive, professional, and explained everything to me. It all starts with making an appointment, office staff, and the medical assistants which I have been highly impressed with. The doctor does not rush you, answers all your questions and has been so helpful to me. I highly recommend this office and doctor.

Dr. Carrera listened patiently and asked pertinent questions to understand my medical condition. He never pushed meds or surgery. I felt confident I got great care from him.

Being somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to medical procedures, I was pleasantly surprised & relieved at the results from my ablation procedure. I know there’s no guarantee and everyone’s results may vary, but I’m definitely a believer in both the approach and the subsequent results from Dr. Carrera’s team. The team did a wonderful job of demystifying the procedure & what to expect. I believe this is a great alternative and or adjunct to taking pain meds & suffering. My recommendation is to GO FOR IT!

Have been seeing Dr Carerra now for a few months for some neck issues and I appreciate how he takes a methodical approach to care. He is NOT one of the doctors that immediately recommends surgery and gradually increases treatments until the patient gets the relief they need. Being new to this, he was great about explaining the steps and what to expect with meds and steroid injections. On top of that, he is a cool fun guy that is casual and friendly.

Dr. Carrera listened to my Aunt as she was having severe neck pain. It had been several months since a car had side swiped us. We had tried everything to help my Aunt’s pain. Finally after a few months with Dr. Carrera’s help thru treatments and recommended pain management she now has her life back!! So so greatful. His nurse Cathryn is extremely caring and helpful also!

Dr Carrera listened to me and asked questions about me. He gave me options. He didn’t push surgery, shots or pills. We worked together for my treatments. Very friendly and concerned about me.

I have seen multiple interventional pain specialist - as I am an ultra runner - Dr. Carrera without question is the BEST I have seen. He immediately took my pain away and follow up on a routine basis. He CARES for the patient. He listens, he is diligent, and he corrects the problem. If any family member of mine needed a pain specialist, Dr. Carrera is the one I would send them to PERIOD. Lastly, he possesses excellent people skills, making me feel comfortable from the first visit.

Dr. Carrera is just wonderful. He explains everything so well and with such a warmth. He pulled up my MRI and showed me exactly what was going on and fully understood it. He also put me at ease with some of the other medical issues I've had happening at the same time. The whole staff is just as on point. Very professional, but real. The nurse remembered me as soon as I walked in and was so down to earth with me. It was exactly what I needed. I would absolutely recommend him and this practice. Pain can be scary, but he takes his time, really listens to you and gives you options. Dr. Carrera is doing what he was meant to do.
