Completely dismissive leaving without ordering ANY
Multiple failed surgeries subjected mechanical forces on skeleton leaving me with a single ~functioning limb. Expert surgeon warned that my gait would destroy spinal surgery; urgent joint replacement immediately. The doctor does not find my total incapacitation to warrant stabilization of gait, thus preserving surgeries a priority. Wants to address a stabbing pain problem which generates regular screams and is below the other replacements and loose spine screws which tissues "catch" on, exploding into spasm; previous surgeon stated screw correction fast and simple. NO prescriptions were called in which HE ORDERED. I have no way of obtaining water, food, hygiene, escape from hazards in home. Being successful is the focus NOT patient short to permanent physical, emotional or remaining alive when it is BBQ time.

Truly outstanding and knowledgable doctor.
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and being treated by Dr. Vasquez for the first time. I have had 20 procedures (nerve blocks, epidurals, etc.) over the past 22 years. Experiences varied from ok to feeling like an assembly line where the provider didn't talk to me at all. Dr. Vasquez listened, asked questions and did a thorough exam. He is friendly and compassionate, but very focused on the task at hand. I never engage in extraneous conversation, making excuses, or whining. That is why I find his very direct approach refreshing. I suspect that most reviewers don't know that he commands the El Paso and Las Cruces locations. I am a retired Lieutenant Colonel and have been in command in multiple assignments. Commanders are very direct and may have to redirect patients who argue, make excuses, or identify as victims. Dr. Vasquez is all about providing treatment and does not suffer extraneous talk from patients, as well he should not. Thank you, Sir.

It seems like forever while you are in there! Actually, I'm overly anxious. I was really quite happy with my first neck injection and ready to go ahead and get my hip injections. Dr. Vazquez is so much better. He said that he should do this second set of injections to make sure. He was right! My procedure was last Friday. Its Thursday and my neck pain that was making my life a living hell is gone. I can't believe it. Can't wait to get my hips done. Going from being a gripey old feeble lady to rocking happy and strong again! I've got grandkids and grandma is getting way better! Thank you, Dr. Vazquez and your wonderful staff!

I have seen other pain doctors that were not half as knowledgable or compassionate as Dr Vazquez. As a matter of fact, Dr Vazquez pointed out why one particular treatment, quite painful, that I had been receiving was not even indicated for the problem I was getting it for. I guess I looked skeptical because he brought it up on his computer & said, “don’t believe me, believe the science!” If Dr Vazquez was “in it for the money” he could have easily continued these treatments & I would have been none the wiser! His back injections are doing the trick, more so than my last Dr. I find his staff to b friendly & helpful. The office is clean & comfortable. I would & have wholeheartedly recommended Dr Vasquez. I am so glad I found him!!! Thank you Dr Vazquez!

I have been seeing by this providers for almost 5 years. I have leukemia so I had been trying to get back on my feet since my leukemia is chronic. Well I finally did and got a new employment so that meant waiting 3 months for the insurance to kick in. I went in to see if I could make payment arrangements and they told me yes. The day of the appointment they call me change the price twice on me and tell me that I have to pay for a urine analysis as well because I had came out inconsistent. I just got the employment and obviously they did a urine analysis since I do work for the state. I am very pissed off that all this is happening. When I had insurance they never had a problem but now that I am with no insurance but willing to pay out of pocket they changed the price on me 2 times plus the urine analysis. I really hope Dr. Vasquez reads this because I've known him since I was diagnosed and he knows how bad I need my meds to continue with my life. The pain I get from the chemo is bad

I have left another review in google as well. As you can see on the healthgrades he is a very poor excuse for a doctor. He has a temper that if you say anything at all he will cut you dowm. He uses passice aggressive comments and paints the picture that if you say anytbing he will take everything from you. He asked me to get an mri which i had no problem with but i then said it maye be a few weeks before i can because of the price he them said well maybe you should find a better job or work more

Completely unprofessional! Have never filed a grievance against a doctor, but I did against Vazquez. He’s rude, demeaning, unprofessional, and the opposite of respectful or caring. If you value your health, don’t go here. The chairs made my back spasm, and the examination table was not secured to ANYTHING!

Well I can’t say much about Dr. Vasquez because I only seen him 1 time for about 2 minutes and he did all the talking. NOW as for that lame excuse of a PA or whatever the hell she is. She accused me of being a drug seeker and claimed my urine test was dirty. How in the hell would she know that if the last time I gave urine was when Dr. Vasquez was on Yarbrough. She called me the B word under her breath which the other staff people heard but denied it. Lots more to this story. BAD BAD BAD BAD

Left in the exam room for over an hour. with hospital gown. Scheduled APP. at 7:30. Left without being seen at 8:55. Also NPO for no medical reason. Urine sample taken again for no medical reason or indication. diabetic with no glucose levels. No one seemed to be surprised that there was delay. Maybe it is a regular occurrence? Maybe add over an hour and half to your total waiting time.

Saw me for all of 3 mins and never saw again over other 3 visits and never explain what was going on nor when he did procedures did he even acknowledge me or presented himself to me . His office staff are a bunch of tech school morons. He runs a controlled drug house/pill mill and treats patients as all bad apples vs individuals.

Over the last 6 months, I have had several visits with the Las Cruces Pain Clinic.. I have been seen by 3 different CNPs and Dr Vasquez. I was always treated respectfully and professionally, given the restrictions placed upon these clinics by the DEA. The rules are very strict. I have found that if you follow the rules, pain management is much better, not perfect but better than trying to bend the rules to suit yourself.

They don't care if you commit suicide because of constant pain. They will not give you the medicine that has helped for years. Instead they insist you try other things like a fentanyl patch that I'm afraid to try because all you hear about is that people OD on that stuff. They have no compassion all. they only care about their extremely strict rules, not if you live or die. I do not recommend them.

You wait sometime hours, never on time. When he does finally see you he does not let you talk or listen to anything you have to say. All he wants to do is see as many patients as he can in one day. He is no longer in the El Paso office, then why is he in Las Cruces only 2 times a week. He asks you the same questions every visit with no memory or what was said last time. Tape your visits for future visits. I do not recommend him at all. Former patient. His assistant Heidi is worse than him.

I have exhausted my patience with this company. They charge you to get a summary of your visit, and when I saw a copy half of what they said transpired during our visit never happened. I work for a company who uses the same electronic system and we let patients access their visit summary free of charge, In fact we print it for them at the time of discharge. I recently forgot my health savings card at time of visit and needed an itemized bill to turn in for reimbursement it cost me $15.

Saw the nurse practitioner, was told I only have option-spinal injections. I told her I had a lot of misgivings about that. She told me I need to make a decision now because she has other patients. Went to El Paso pain center for injection with Dr Vasquez thinking I could talk to him. An hour an a half after my appt they called me back and the tech did my intake. Not allowed to talk to the doctor. After 2 mg of xanax, wheeled to treatment room. Never even saw Dr's face and wheeled out

Best doctors and service in town! Was feeling horrible and they took me in early Monday morning. The staff was professional and friendly. They took me right away and had several staff members assisting and walking me through the process. I saw haydee Fiske and she took the time to discuss my past medical history and did a full check up. They called in my prescriptions to the pharmacy and it was ready right away. I have been searching for a good general practitioner and I will be going with.
