He always wants to know how I'm doing and how I am managing. The pain treatment I'm on is working and we deal with whatever else presents itself. I've been his patient for quite some time, and I like being able to see the same doctor that knows my conditions and how to treat them. I would hate to have to start over with another doctor. I find him truly caring and sympathetic.

Heartbreaking
Shows no mercy. I have MULTIPLE issues causing me pain and he chose to only focus on one of them. He said I didn''t need pain meds, which I never asked him for because I get my meds from my PCP. He based this assessment on my MRI. When I had to have knee and hip surgeries, my injuries were NOT found on the MRIs, but because I had continued pain, those surgeons performed exploratory surgery. Guess what. In both instances, the MRIs were wrong. I don't put my faith in an MRI. I was taught to treat the pt not the test. My biggest warning about this dr. is that he never one time put a hand on me to assess me in the office. He never palpated my back for tenderness, never did a straight leg test or any other physical test, only imaging, but he lied in documentation saying that he did examine me. He treated me like I was not in any pain at all, but only a drug seeker. He said there was nothing further he could do for me & sent me packing. It was heartbreaking as I suffer with debilitating pain

I like him.
I have been doing pain management for 30 years. I was nervous when we moved here about changing pain docs. It was obvious he had read my charts when he walked in the room. He has been my doctor for 6 years now. Last visit it was obvious he read my prisma, mychart info before he came in the room. He has been willing to try new things with me, I am hard to treat due to allergies and many many surgeries.. This is the best I have done over all in probably 10 years now. He will fight my insurance company to make sure they eventually approve treatments. He trusts me, and I trust him. the quality of my life depends greatly on pain management.

office needs some sensitivity training
This office needs some sensitivity training. My 81 year old mother with back pain, leg pain, and neuropathy pain in her feet was 5 minutes late to an appointment Dr. Edward Delorey. Five minutes, y’all. We had traveled 40 minutes and encountered a severe car accident on the way blocking the road making us five minutes late. Five minutes. The appt. gatekeeper was on the phone for two minutes. She finished her call and said we were seven minutes late. Her phone call caused us to be seven - not five minutes late. And she would not check my mom in. She said she maybe could fit her in in a half hour. So we waited. After 30 minutes, we were told she was unable to fit us in so we had to leave. Every visit we have had at this location, we have always to wait five or ten minutes in the waiting room and in the examination room. How is this possible if they run such a tight ship where five minutes late is an absolute non negotiable drop dead cut off time?

I'm not sure why the bad reviews but Dr. Delorey and his staff have always treated me with respect and honesty. I have suffered for the past three years not including being in a wheelchair but he has helped me all the way. Kudos to him.

Information was missing from my chart about the severity of my back condition that had been confirmed by 3 other doctors and when I was explaining to him about my condition he told me that it was not on my chart and nothing was wrong with my back instead of saying he would look into it and see where the discrepancy was. I went home and found the information and sent it to him asking for an apology which I never got so I never went to see him again. I would n ever recommend him to anyone.
