I'm not a patient, but have someone that would be. I would like to know why we need a referral when our insurance says that we don't need one to see any doctor. We have Medicare and supplement G and our yearly deductible already has been meet. Do you know that is a inconvenience to us when we need to see a doctor. Having to call our primary Dr. and the delay from that office. Do you get a kick back from referrals because here in Houston we don't have all this hassle. Is this a small town mentality. Make it simpler for new patients.

I needed a quarter-zone shot in my knee. I have had several quarter-zone shots in my life time and they ALL hurt. I went to Dr. Elmer for the 1st time and he has such a great bed side manner. He gave me the shot and to my surprise it DID NOT HURT. I could barley walk . I had been in pain for quite awhile and so many restless nights. I"m not in pain anymore and i can sleep like a normal person again. Thank you so much Dr. Elmer, you will be my Doctor from now on. His staff is really great too.

Dr. Elmer and staff were excellent. It was my initial appointment and was extremely satisfied. Going to the doctor can be a little unsettling at times but Dr. Elmer's professionalism and knowledge as well as "bedside manor" were top notch

About Me

care philosophy

I treat orthopaedic (bone and joint) problems as conservatively as possible, starting with medicines and/or injections, and then with surgery when all other options have been tried.
