He is extremely rude. I’ve seen people saying that he is just honest, but that is giving him too much credit. I expect a health care professional to be honest without being belittling and condescending. He appears to have a total lack of compassion. I left all three of my visits feeling small and worse than before.

Dr. Goldenberg is wonderful. My previous doctor just asked me some pretty generic questions and started prescribing me medicine. Dr. Goldenberg is incredibly thorough. He would not prescribe any medications until I had blood work done. He does not sugar coat anything. He is not rude, he is honest.

I saw Dr.Goldenberg for 3 visits, I clearly had an issue that was treatable but he would not treat me and instead gave me a Hershey kiss as medicine, completely unprofessional and I would not give this fake dr a minute of your time. Grumpy doctor that needs to hang it up!

Would never recommend this man to anyone. Just like the other comment, he makes himself appear to be superior all while telling you to shut up every time he asks you a question. Waste of time and money, I could have been paying someone else who’s more interested in the well-being of a I’ll patient rather than gloating about his two ugly poodles and how I’m a burden. Stay far away if you care about yourself.

Although my treatment is still a work in progress, he has been willing to try things from different angles, including mine at one point by holding off on prescribing more medication. He made it clear that he is not a provider that will just you medicine to make you feel numb or "snowed" as he calls it. He also will not treat a patient unless they are consistently working with a counselor or therapist. His belief is that medication alone cannot solve or cure. One must talk through things.

First psychiatrist who took time to listen, get blood work done and work in partnership with my psychologist. Finding the right treatment was tricky in my situation but we found it. I'm surprised some other reviews found him disrespectful or rude. It must be a personality issue. I never had issues with him. He does have a nice sense of humor which may be was not well receive by some. As for me, I was hitting rock bottom a year ago and I believe him + psychologist saved my life.

I can't suggest that anyone with mental health issues go see this shrink. He's paternalistic, cocky, rude and condescending. He insulted me in numerous ways, made clear his disgusting politics, laid out an utterly absurdly monkish health plan, and treated me like a child. I actually feel less well today than before I met him. I don't place much value in specialists of his profession, frankly, and Goldenberg only cemented the opinion further. He's just a jerk.
