High cost for a rushed appointment
I brought in my son due to a 2 month struggle with a severe sinus infection, already trying multiple antibiotics. We saw Dr Kass in.the exam room for no more than 3 minutes. He was rushed, was unwelcoming, and didn't care to listen to my son's recent medical history to understand what was going on- he even told me not to complete the health hx papers that were sent back with me. He used a small scope to look into my son's nostrils (15 seconds maybe) and it was billed at $1420 as a nasal endoscopy. We saw another ENT a week later since my son wasn't improving. The same scope was used there, as well as a sinus culture performed, that ENT billed out at $280 AND she was kind and listened to his medical history. Lesson learned to always ask what they will be calling/coding each motion, breath, and glance as... but I highly doubt it will be well received if I stop the practitioner mid-exam to tell them I need to call billing to see what that code will bill out at!

Terrible. Charged me $2,185 for a Stroboscope- Never explained to me that it would cost that much at all. He just decided to do it. Also, when I called billing Annie was so rude and said, "You should assume it would cost that much, you're going to a specialist." I would avoid this practice at all costs. Pills they prescribed didn't do anything. This is a complete money grab.

I brought my two year old in to see Dr.Kass for an ear infection- He was so good with my little guy, very gentle and kind. Dr.Kass was very knowledgeable and made a quick and accurate diagnosis which was much appreciated while having a little one who wasn't feeling well and wanted to get out of there as fast as possible! Dr.Kass even went above and beyond by educating me on the different ear issues that children can develop as well as the possible treatment options for them. I will be bringing my son back next week for a follow-up appointment and would absolutely recommend Dr.Kass!

I saw Dr. Kass for Hearing Loss. He was very nice Dr but said he needed to put steroids in my inner ear. It took max 3 min for him. I was in and out of office in 15 minutes. Then came the SHOCK to me a $543.59 bill after insurance paid $2930.41. No mention from the doctor that this would be an expensive procedure. I didn’t get the bill until after I came back a second time to see Dr. Ubell who said “the first round did nothing maybe we should try it again what do you think?” I should have wrote SUCKER on my forehead because this time he didn’t have to do any surgery just administer the steroids and another $543.59 bill after insurance paid $2930.41. Billing said the price was set by the AMA and a standard price. She also said you have the right to ask us how much it will cost the doctors don’t know the cost. They really expect me to say “wait Dr stop let me see how much this is going to cost”. Seems like quite a money making racket to me!!! Seem to be all about PROFIT over PATIENT!

He offered a quick and accurate diagnosis of my medically rare throat condition and was very reassuring of my prognosis. Excellent bedside manner and this is coming from a nurse. He sat down with me, explained the results, and his recommendations. He promptly referred me to an ENT surgeon who he knows specializes in my rare condition and I look forward to breathing much easier in the near future. I am forever thankful to you!

I saw Dr. Kass for the first time 10/30/2019 for a 5+ week sinus infection that didn't respond to antibiotics. He listened to my explanation of symptoms, did a thorough exam, ordered a sinus CT that was done quickly in the office. Then reviewed the results and his diagnosis and recommendations. He is an excellent doctor and I highly recommend him! He is professional, personable, listens and thoroughly explains his diagnosis in understandable terms.

We went for a visit since my son has been having congestion problems. At the visit he says he is going to look down my son's throat, pulls out this long probe and feeds it down his nose. We then find out it is nothing more than acid reflux. Turns out Dr. Kass charged the insurance for a 'scopic procedure' i.e. 'surgery to the tune of $1900! Of course we are asked to pay our deductible of over $500. The doctor should asked his permission to do this 'surgery' with the explanation of the cost.

My infant's primary care dr recommended we see Dr. Kass because he had a clicking jaw. Dr. Kass came in, didn't put gloves on then touched his nose then examined my 3 week old son's jaw without sanitizing his hands or putting gloves on. He took 3 seconds to examine him and say nothing was wrong and send us on our way and charge us $350 for the visit. Worst doctor ever.

He's clueless. Prior to surgery, he provided minimal information about the procedure and I wasn't given an opportunity to ask even basic questions about the surgery and recovery process. At follow-up appointments, he ignored my comments about still being in pain and even wrote in his notes that I was feeling great. I've called him a few times since the last appointment and he has not returned my call. He did blindly prescribe medication without even speaking to me which I find scary.
