Not very compassionate, rude, abrasive

Dr. Kim listened and answered my long list of questions regarding gallbladder surgery.I felt confident in Dr Kim’s ability to remove my gallbladder laparoscopically. I scheduled the surgery at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Dr Kim did the surgery without any complications. Both Rex Hospital and Dr Kim acted in a professional and efficient manner. Thank you Dr. Kim and your great team.

Dr. Kim is a caring & highly skilled professional. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with him and his staff, both before and after surgery. My hat’s off to all of them. You will not go wrong with Dr. Kim.

Dr. Kim is a very seriuos yet competent "mechanic," but does not like answering . questions.

Dr. Kim treated me for a hernia repair. He was always very courteous and answered all of my questions in a way that I could understand what he was telling me about the procedure and recuperation process. That being said, my procedure was a success from start to finish. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Kim and would not hesitate to refer him to anyone needing his services. Also, the folks in his office were very nice and kind to me while still exhibiting professionalism. I never had to wait beyond my appointment time, a big plus.

Dr. Kim is the consummate medical professional. From diagnosis to surgery and recovery, Dr. Kim gave me complete confidence that that his diagnosis was correct and that surgery would improve my quality of life. He was always prompt with appointments, and thorough with his explanations. Recovery from surgery was much easier than expected, and I am now back to my routine at work and am free to eat what I wish and exercise as I please. I recommend Dr. Edward Kim without any reservations.

Dr. Kim saved my life, period. He recognized my condition during attempting to put a port in my chest. Had he been successful in implanting the port I was to wait 5 days before beginning chemo. Fortunately, for me he recognized that I wouldn't survive for another 5 days and had me admitted to the hospital where I did survive. I still needed a port and when asked who I wanted to do the surgery, there was only one answer---Dr. Kim

Dr. Kim performed my robotic bilateral in GUI allowing hernia operation recently. The procedure went extremely well and was a tremendous success. My recovery period went well and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. I feel truly blessed to have him as my surgeon.

Dr. Kim did my hernia surgery on 25 April 2019. Overall it went great and I'd recommend him to anyone for this sort of procedure! I'm an engineer, so leading up to it I had a ton of questions. During the office visits prior he patiently listened to each one and gave me the information I was asking for, without judging how inane some of the questions might have been. Also, I never felt like he was in a rush to move on to his next appointment. Day of surgery went about as well as it could: - with an earlier patient canceling and processing me fast - surgery in the timeframe he described - time describing how it went (with pictures) to my wife - and rapid recovery in post-op Recovery at home and ability to do things again quickly was as good as one could expect.

After consulting with a different surgeon, I met with Dr. Kim. He gave me a detailed explanation of what he would do to repair my hernia. He explained that he would do it laproscopically and close the opening. I was very happy to hear that because it was the total opposite of what I had been told by the first surgeon I consulted. After surgery, I had to return to the hospital because of ileus. Dr. Kim was there every day and sometimes twice a day. He explained what was happening and what I could expect. His calm, matter of fact demeanor was very reassuring. Things happened exactly like he said they would. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kim.

Dr Kim fixed a hernia surgery I had in Florida several years back. Developed chronic pain. He performed the surgery with the robot. Took down scar tissue, removed the old mesh and placed new mesh. Recovery was exactly how Dr. Kim predicted. I'm feeling good and back to my old activities. I would highly recommend Dr. Kim and his staff to my friends and family.
