My mom recently had a series of strokes and open heart surgery. The strokes left her with very bad memory problems. She has a hard time understanding things and needs them to be explained. Her brain just does not work like it used to. My mom had an appointment for a serious eye problem that could leave her blind. My dad went with her to make sure there were two of them gathering info and such. As soon as she sat down he was very rude and dismissive of both of them. My mom kept having to ask him to explain what he was talking about. He would explain again (very aggravated) in the same manner. He knew about the strokes and he knew he needed to dumb down what he was saying. But he would not. At one point when my mom was asking a question and had a pamphlet in her hand and the doctor got so annoyed, He pulled the paper away from her like she was a child and said "ok no more of this your just getting aggravated. He made her feel so bad about herself, she felt like a stupid child she said. When this appointment finally ended my dad asked the Dr if he could write down the name of the condition and stuff and he said no I wont do that. The secretary can tell you what it is. I highly suggest finding a different eye doctor. He was the worst my mom has ever encountered.
