Dr. Edward Searle, MD

I have been struggling with acne since I was 16 years old, roughly 10 years of my life. As a result I have been to every single dermatologist in Camarillo in hopes of a cure. Dr. Searle was the only doctor willing to work with me and to find a solution. Thankfully, I have been acne free for a couple of years and couldn't be more proud of Dr. Searle. THANK YOU DR. SEARLE

Dr. Searle has treated me for just over 20 years. From biopsies to minor procedures, he's excellent at keeping my pre-cancerous skin growths from turning into skin cancer. He's always extremely thorough, patient, and effective in spotting things. He performs biopsies as needed and his office reports results quickly. He takes time to explain what he's doing, why, and to answer my questions. A great dermatologist, he’s helping me keep from getting skin cancer. I respect, value and highly recommend him.

I had a large cyst in my neck. Dr. Searle put a steroid shot in it without assessing the situation carefully (no biopsy or ultrasound), and it reacted very poorly. Because of the shot, the cyst ruptured. It became larger and painful. Rather than working with me to resolve the issue, he told me I could "just ignore it" or go to a plastic surgeon (that my insurance wouldn't cover). I had to find another surgeon on my own to get it taken care of...but still had to pay him for the shot.

Dr. Searle is very knowledgeable as well as personable. I faced a number of health challenges at the same time, all related to the same disorder. He referred me to a doctor in another specialty to get the root problems addressed, and he even checked in on me by phone between appointments. Mine is a "rare and unusual" case which eluded diagnosis by other doctors for over a year, but he recognized it at the first visit. I'm truly fortunate to have him on my team.
