I have type 1 Diabetes. In university I had no car and had to commute to make it to appointments and was late a couple times. When I communicated my transportation situation with her, she started giving me ultimatums, saying that if I wasn't promptly on time she would dump me as a patient. One day I couldn't make my appointment because the bus service went out. Little did I know that to her, this was a "last straw". Suddenly I had no endocrinologist to request insulin from, and had to investigate with the administration to finally figure out what had happened. She doesn't show a lot of patience or empathy with her patients, even on her good days. Would not recommend unless you are craving a strict, rigid, and impatient doctor.

I had diabetes for over three decades. My regular diabetes doctor is currently on paternity leave and Dr. Elaine Wong is currently handling her duties. During that time I found out that my supplies of insulin pens were running low. I immediately called Dr. Wong and left her a message stating that I only had a short time left till I would be out of insulin. Dr. Wong quickly called me back and sent a prescription to my Pharmacy for automatic refills. She is very amazing for helping me out.

Dr. Wong deeply touched a family friend recently when she was filling in for my friend's vacationing primary doctor. She felt so cared for and listened to when she had to consult Dr.Wong--moreso than with any medical professional she has ever dealt with and she wasn't even the doctor's patient. Dr. Wong was very thorough and patient and was able to meet my friend's needs and save her a great deal of stress. She thanks you & still gloats about you to this day.
