True Sports Medicine Specialist!!
I was referred to Dr. Golan for my son who sustained an ACL injury during his Sophmore year of highschool. After seeing a sports doctor close to home I was told that multiple ligaments were involved and that a surgery would be risky. Several doctors recommended that my son stop playing football and only fix part of the injury. Dr Golan patiently walked me through the entire process. He was very honest about the lengthy recovery and looked my son in the eye and told him rehab would be difficult but he would get him back to football if he wanted. It is now over a year later and we are on track to begin spring practice. Recovery was very difficult but I feel beyond blessed to have found someone to walk my child through such a difficult injury

Negligent
Last year, I was referred to Dr. Golan after waking up one morning and being unable to walk on my right leg without excruciating pain. They did x-rays, and despite reviewing the x-rays and explaining my symptoms to him, he told me this was an 'organic' injury. I was referred to physical therapy, which I did for 8 weeks and it did not get better. I returned to Dr. Golan and asked for an MRI of my hip. When I saw him this day, I was still in 10 out of 10 pain. They did more x-rays. Dr. Golan refused the MRI request, and insisted this was a back injury. I was referred to a spine surgeon in his office, and I waited 2 weeks for my next appointment. The spine surgeon saw me, reviewed the same x-rays, and then finally sent me for a hip MRI.I had the MRI which revealed cancerous legions all throughout my hip. My hip was at risk for collapsing. Dr. Golan failed to see this on the x-ray, which was evident. He dismissed my concerns, delaying my treatment AND causing me to be in pain.

Shoulder surgery
I met with Dr. Golan about rotator cuff issues. An MRI was order very quickly and surgery was scheduled. Surgery went as well as I could have hoped. Before surgery I was informed that you are given 4 days worth of pain medication and don’t bother calling if you need any additional because America has an opioid epidemic and everyone is an addict. I went back after 6 weeks and exploded on the PA. I wasn’t even asking for pain medication just looking for something to help with the discomfort so I could get more that one to two hours of sleep nightly. I had to find an outside doctor for that. I guess the saddest part is the Doctor never saw me again after the day of surgery and to me that is awful beside manners. “Beware of this practice if you are looking for an experience that provides good customer service.”

Very Attentive and Knowledgeable!
Dr. Golan was great! He spent time explaining what I was likely experiencing, but wanted to order tests to be sure and give me the confidence to proceed with the comprehensive medical plan of action needed to get better. His staff is friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend him as a physician.

Dr. Elan Golan, Is the type of doctor, you will want on your team!! He knows his craft very well. I had a very server rotator cup tear, that was on the emergency level. Dr. Elan Golan performs the surgery that went very well. Dr. Elan Golan even did a follow-up call Five days after the surgery (While waiting for his baby to be born). Dr. Elan Golan also put a great plan in place for recovery. Each time Dr. Elan Golan meets with me, he takes his time to explain the next plan of action for recovery!! Dr. Elan Golan is very dedicated to you as a patient and even more as a person. You can't help but Love That!!!

I first met with Dr. Golan in February about some problems with my knee. At that time he was very informative and took time to explain my diagnosis. He reviewed my x-ray with me and discussed future treatments if needed. We decided to give physical therapy a try. I had success with this, but five months later I was back with knee pain. Dr. Golan again took the time to go over options and we decided to go with minor knee surgery. I had it two days ago and have had a very good experience. Again Dr. Golan explained the process in detail and even called me the next morning to check on me. A huge shout out to Paige also as she is always so cheerful and helpful. My experience with Dr. Golan and his practice is A+ and I would recommend him hig hly.
