High hopes are dashed...
I've given Dr. Daniels the benefit of the doubt too many times. When I got Covid, he was away and I had to beg for treatment from another dr. in the practice as a cancer patient. When he sent me to a PSH hospital for unstable angina, he never followed up or he would know I had an angioplasty at another hospital. When I complained about him abruptly taking me off an anti-anxiety drug my previous PSH doctor of 15-years had prescribed, he suggested I get a 'therapist' instead, then gave me a list of PSH practicioners, all of whom are not accepting new patients. I need to be treated as one patient with three or four different medical issues. And even though I may be treated elsewhere for cancer, etc, I expect my primary care doctor to be able to navigate the complicated world of multi-disciplinary medicine as well as I have managed to do. Finally, he told me a lump on my back had to be removed and to go to an urgent care clinic. Two dermatologists at Johns Hopkins say No! So, I am done.

Dr. Daniels was my primary care physician based in Mt. Joy, PA. He is personable, and in these times of Covid, will "bump elbows with you." All good. However... For many months I complained about ENT related issues. Dr. Daniels prescribed antibiotics in response to my complaints. But the throat soreness worsened, and I experienced pain and pinching deeper in my throat and in my right ear. Dr. Daniels examined me and told me my ear was clear. He examined my throat with a flashlight and found nothing. I told him the problem was further down where the light could not illuminate the area of concern. Finally, my right lymph node became swollen and metastasized. Only then did Dr. Daniels send me for a CAT Scan which diagnosed throat cancer. Many symptoms I experienced are unusual, not easy to view during an exam or diagnose. Cancer diagnosis is not his area of expertise. The CAT Scan saved my life, but earlier diagnosis would have benefited the extent and course of my treatment. Outcome TBD
