Shameful excuse for a licensed practitioner
Only does checkups over the phone and refuses for them to last longer than five minutes. Incredibly surface level questions, refusing to touch on legitimate mental health concerns. Will lie to you about prescribing your meds despite what the pharmacy has said or delay prescribing them at all. It’s very clear she only cares about money and not the health or well-being of her patients. She’s tremendously difficult to reach, as she often goes on vacations and fails to appropriately communicate her availability. Holistically an unreliable practitioner who should not have a license. Do not recommend! Save your money and the grief of working with somebody so incompetent and find a practitioner with better reviews and a more impressive background.

At first I thought Dr. Shteynfeld was a decent enough psychiatrist, until I realized a few things. Number 1, she is impossible to reach if you need a refill... you will have to make an appointment which will be maybe 3 minutes if you’re lucky. Number 2, she sent the wrong prescription to my pharmacy once... so that was fun. Number 3, when I got my insurance claims, she had billed my insurance for providing “therapy.” Sure, if telling you one sentence about my week was “therapy,” but that seems incredibly sketchy to me. Clearly she only cares about getting as many patients as possible and making her money. I now see a psychiatrist who can provide 15-30 minute follow-ups and provides the proper medication.

She cares very little about patient wellbeing and focuses primarily on quick “in and out.” I asked for suggestions on a new med and she switched me, and after later seeing my cardiologist found out it was a bad mix with my heart issues - which I told her about in initial intake. She requires copays in cash which is odd and she doesn’t ask any questions. Looks you up and down, writes a script and takes your money. I had better psychiatric support from online teams. I switched doctors and now actually feel healthy and cared for. Do not visit.

She's impossible to get ahold of and office visits are barely 5 minutes long. She makes you come back weekly for a prescription. I am pretty sure it's just so she gets paid for the visit. She's the worst.

Terrible doctor, unhelpful, rude. Charged me for a 5 minute (literally 5 minutes!) appointment. Told me to go to the emergency room instead of prescribing me a vital medication because she didn't want to be liable. Horrible person.
