A decision to perform a very invasive surgery was made without discussing alternative methods of treatment. I am certain this doctor is proficient in her skills but seemed very eager to perform this surgery leaving little or no time to seek a second opinion.

I understand the Dr's frustration at my refusing meds, shots and PT, but I have no faith that those things will change anything that they haven't helped over 30 yrs. However, getting offended that I can't afford surgery is unnecessary. I'd love a surgery that could help. I don't know if there is one, but that would be awesome. However, your business is more about money than care and I just can't afford you.

Dr. Kucia is the best doctor that I see, she always takes a lot of time with me frequently offering advice on medical issues not directly related to the one the appointment for, some of which she has treated me for (two back surgeries, recent Bells Palsy).

I was extremely hesitant about Dr. Kucia prior to her performing a multi-level cervical spine disc replacement on me in July of 2017. It has been nearly 18 months since the surgery and, in my opinion, the surgery was a complete failure. Dr. Kucia adivsed me that my exponentially increased pain, diminished mobility, inability to swallow and breathe comfortably, increased numbness & weakness, massive constant headaches and additional debilitating side effects SINCE THE SURGERY are all reasonable o

Dr. Kucia performed a C4-C6 ACDF and almost completely eliminated the radiculopathy through my neck, shoulder, and arm. After the surgery was complete my family received a very detailed explanation of what took place and what to expect between now and the post op appt. Dr. Kucia is a very caring and extremely skilled neurosurgeon. She explains everything in detail during appointments and you never feel rushed. Dr. Kucia also looks to other conservative measures before surgery.

Dr. Kucia did a cervical fusion of my neck due to an auto accident. I was very nervous. Dr. Kucia told me that having the surgery was in the best interest for me and for my future. She assured me I was making the right decision to have surgery. She was very patient with me and answered all my questions. She explained what she was going to do so that I understood. I trusted that Dr. Kucia was going to take good care of me and she did. I believe God gives different people special abilities.
