Elise consistently gives patients that which is most lacking in medicine today - time! The waits can be long - because the system packs in appointments - but I view it as an affordable premium for receiving high-level care and attention to details. If you want your provider to spend time with you - you have to expect to wait. If you want a short wait and an equally short visit - then there are probably plenty of other doctors happy to oblige. Our entire family sees Dr H-W, and we all appreciate her knowledge and her personal attention! Absolutely worth the wait!!

Dr Hughes-Watkins is a very thorough and knowledgeable doctor. However, if you like ridiculously long wait times for scheduled appointments then she is perfect for you. My 90 year old dad waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to be seen today for an appointment. His appointment was scheduled for 10:00 AM and she finally saw him at 11:45 AM. Why she thinks her time is more important than mine or my dad’s is beyond me. She continually runs late on her appointments. Ecessively long wait times are the norm.

She signed a medical directive to allow a woman who took my 99 years old father in law to visit her to be his agent. On the directive the woman appointed herself, indicated that my in law does not want to prolong his life ( and the family all know he has the strongest desire to live forever). The issue is; my father in law does not understand English and dr. Watkins does not understand Chinese, that woman is the only person doing the interpretation with no others present. Imagine the problem!

She is arrogant, negligent and omnipotent. And as a result she misdiagnosed back pain for over 6 months only to find out after many tequests for an MRI that there was a large tumor on the spine called cancer.
